★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Phenomenal. We had the tasting menu & every bite was delicious. We were so surprised with how lovely this was. The gap between courses was perfect. Just short enough to want the next course, just long enough to reflect on what we had and how yummy it was. Staff were so lovely, perfect for a chat and completely accomodating. The menu in general looked delicious and adventurous and if I come back to Amsterdam this would be a staple for me. It's not a "tourist" spot, locals were here for special occasions. I'm just so glad we ended up here! The also accommodated my allergies in the set menu and I didn't miss out at all!

We were able to get very personalized cocktails, that were delicious and they even surprised the birthday people with a even more delicious and elaborated dessert. Their attention to details and the quality of the food, drinks and attention to us definitely made this restaurant to be unforgettable. Thank you Grand Café 1884 for this great evening and for making these birthdays even more special.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best food and service we had while in Amsterdam and likely one of the best overall meals I have ever had.
Every item had such a personal touch, the smoke under the glass of the smoked salmon and the delightful presentation of all of the dishes.
This is one of those experiences where you want to have a taste of all of the other items at your table. I will absolutely make a point of coming back here my next time here.
