Great hotel.it had all the required stuff to help us survive the cold weather of Amsterdam.I think i am being dramatic.

We made the booking online and we arrived around 23.00. My first impression was bad as the staff at the reception was not really friendly and checking in took a while. Also, there are some weird signs around like nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is not allowed -obviously?-. It makes me thinking what actually happened there ? Maybe it's standard for Amsterdam hotels?? Furthermore, it says everywhere "do not smoke" and although we were given a paper that says so, the staff reminded again just before we went to our room: do not smoke! We are not smokers but we found it over the top! Like you spent so much time to write such warnings around but the important info such as check-in check-out times, internet password etc. are less visible, if they are visible. The room is dirty and dusty. Heavy dark colored curtains are full of dust, top of the desks are covered with unknown sticky fluids (I want to assume drinks...), see photos. On the bed, there is no cover and it is full of weird dark spots, see photos. It did not smell fresh/clean either. The pillows are the smallest and the least comfortable pillows so far I have ever seen. I have been in multiple cheap and expensive hotels, and even the chepaer hostels had better pillows. The place for the towels at toilet is weird. Who puts towels on a shelf just above the toilet? That space is designed for air freshener or candles etc, not towels. It is not sanitary. Also, you should not put the towel which is designed to put on the floor (aka feet towel), on the towel rack. Moreover, the number of big towels are not enough for 2 people. Similarly, there is only 1 (one!!!) small soap for 2 people, shampoos etc also barely enough for 1 person, and no paper towel etc in the room. Nevertheless, they were bad in quality anyway. There were toothpaste stains and some other stains on the mirror and the wall. Folding the tip of toilet paper in a fancy triangle shape unfortunately does not fix hygene problems...Moreover, the minibar was empty and again dirty...Doorhands and mirrors you can see fingerprints, dust, random stains...Such a hotel Also, very boring hotel, the lobby has no ambiance and no decoration no theme...It can be the most bland hotel in Amsterdam... Overall dusty and dirty. After I read the nice comments here, I was expecting more from this place. I would give 1 star but during checkout, the receptionist was really nice and apologized for the problems that I briefly mentioned. So I give 2 stars. This place has an amazing location and big potential, but it seems like you need to renovate...

The reception was very nice, the place is very clean, the rooms are beautiful, the natural light is beautiful, the hotel is beautiful

Terrible place. We booked 5 rooms for 5 employees, we payed all 5 in advance. When they tried to check-in 3/5 rooms 'had to be payed for' and the 2 which we're payed had no record of checking in and I couldn't get a key. they made me double pay 3 rooms and they gave the 2 rooms away to other People and didn't want to admit this. The Guy at the desk was super unfriendly and kept referring to 'the system'. I was furiuos... Never in my live have a seen such bad threatment of clientèle...

So far so good. Flexible concierges, with a smile beside every answer. Seems they are well trained and passionate boys and girls. Keep serving on this level! It will pay off! Thank you!

The hotel itself is actually quite good. My only complaint is about the reception. My friends and I stayed at this hotel last month and during our check in the Asian receptionist seemed kinda annoyed and unfriendly. I mean, if you aint happy working in this place just quit and find a new job elsewhere. 2 of friends do not speak English so I had to translate everything and the receptionist acted like we were taking her time although we were the only ones there for the check in. The most important thing that hospitalilty workers should never forget about is that (we) guests are the ones who pay for their salaries ??‍♀️, so they should always treat us well.

A pleasant, clean, and affordable stay. I really recommend for the traveller on a budget but wanting something still great. A bit far from the city though. Also TV channels not great - no English channels. Those just need an upgrade. Loved everything else

Very nice staff, extremely nice and comfortable rooms, everything seemed very clean at first. When I came home I was very satisfied. There were problems with the hygiene, it turned out later. My couple and I got leg fungus. Based on this, the bathroom is not properly disinfected. Unfortunately I didn’t wear slippers for the shower because the accommodation seemed so high quality.
