Great breakfast and location, even though quite noisy from the street and tram. Windows are not well isolated but ok. However I found the room a bit dirty and also the curtains could need a change as they smelled food and damp. People working here are really nice.

We stayed for two nights. I didn't sleep much because we could hear everything from the corridors and from the outside. No kettle, no freezer and no bar available in the room. Bathroom is very, very dark and when you shower water flooded everywhere. Overall very poor room for an expensive price.

Room was super clean though cramped and not well-insulated from the traffic noise and water pipes behind the walls. Almost got a 10m2 basement room until the hotel emailed me to confirm my choice. Good thing they did, I upgraded to a regular (still pretty tight room). Fortunately only brought a hand-carry because it would have been impossible to open a suitcase inside the room. Lesson learned - double check room sizes! Lobby is very pretty and the fireplace makes a lovely accent. Spent couple of hours in the evenings here just for the ambiance. Staff were friendly and helpful overall.

Our go-to Hotel in Amsterdam. Modern, clean mid century inspired eclectic interior. Great informal real Dutch breakfast. But what sets this hotel truly apart is the staff and management. Friendly faces, superb service always and great value. Centrally located in walking distance to the old town center but easy hop on tram and metro to visit classic South or the hip North of Amsterdam . Hotel V is our home away from home, the cozy lobby is perfect to meet up with our friends & family. Tony & Benita - Brooklyn, NY

The room we selected looked fine in photo but when we entered we found a room which was not even half the size expected and for a ridiculous price. Almost lost my deposit for the room for leaving a couple tobacco sticks inside and for being accused by one of the receptionists of smoking in the room. Other than that, a general poor organisation and definitely not worth the price. If I come back to Amsterdam I will definitely choose another hotel. Not to talk about the extremely disrespectful receptionist who made us wait 15 minutes in the lobby to check that the room was okay, with our taxi directed to the airport waiting for us outside. In conclusion, our room was covered with ruined paper on the walls, we could hear everything from outside and next door rooms, and were placed in a second building underground which did not reflect the level expected. With 100 euros worth deposit I could have probably bought the entire room.

Positive: Located in Weteringschans, close to center and museums zone. Breakfast good. Negative: small Room, freezing and noisy. During our stay also other guests complained about the cold in the room and even more in the bathroom.

I’ve been to Amsterdam endless times, there are many much better hotels around just avoid this one: - could not sleep because the windows were single glazed. You can hear the tramway which starts very early in the morning as well as conversations. - no frigide in the room and they charge you 100€ from your card for deposit which I wonder why since there is no mini bar nor room service and the furniture is cheap ? - check out took ages - no battery in the remote Go somewhere else, not worth the money

I have stayed for 1,5 months at this hotel and I have to stay that I loved everything about the place. Especially great thanks to Dan at the reception and the housekeeping who made me feel very welcome and at home. Very clean, new and pretty lofts with fireplace. Perfect location. Hope to return to this place. Warmly, Daria
