De IJsbaan Haarlem heeft een 400meter- en een 30x60meterbaan. De banen zijn overdekt. Schaatsen kun je huren. Open van eind september tot eind maart.

Schaats veilig
Schaatsen is geen gevaarlijke sport, als je je maar – ten minste – aan de volgende zaken houdt: schaats nooit zonder handschoenen, zet een (fiets)helm op of als je die niet hebt een muts. Schaats niet met blote enkels zoals je veel schaatsers ziet doen. Het beste zijn snijvaste enkelbeschermers. Daarnaast: houd je voor de veiligheid aan het baanreglement.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to drive 1.5 hours to get there, I called before to ask for the renting and for opening times. The woman didn't say anything to me that the renting time closes at 9pm, even not when I said that I come at 10pm. Driving 3 hours for nothing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Covered rink with a separate lane around for speed skating. They frequently smoothed the surface. Hire skates for only €6, but bring i.d. with you. Wrap up warm because it feels extra cold since it’s not actually inside a building but has a cover, also you must wear gloves. Enjoy a hot drink afterwards in the cozy cafe too. Have fun!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice ice-rink! Good ice, they send the ice machine a lot of times on the ice so the quality stays good. Free lockers. Normal admission costs 7 euro for an adult. Enough benches to rest on..... Well worth a visit!

A great morning out at the Ice rink on the randweg in Haarlem!
A large and well maintained ice rink with skate hire and (dependent upon the covid restrictions) tea, coffee and snacks.
We were there for a lesson on the inside rink well away from the more experienced skaters on the large ring.
Great setup with lessons available to book online for all ages and experiences, and I can certainly recommend this.
Parking is close by at the Kennemer sports centre, during the Covid times expect a little more of a wait at the reception so allow some time for this if you’re going for a lesson!
