About Intratuin Amersfoort
Intratuin is ontstaan toen acht ondernemers in 1980 hun krachten bundelden. Ze waren slim, ambitieus en een tikkeltje eigenwijs. Één ding hadden ze gemeen: een uitgesproken visie. Daarom besloten ze om gezamenlijk te gaan inkopen. Dit werd een succes en de volgende stap werd gezet: een uniforme verkoopformule. Samen maakten ze promotie onder de naam Intratuin, en de groep van ondernemers werd steeds groter.
Deze groep groeit vandaag de dag nog steeds. Ook in België en Duitsland openen we steeds meer nieuwe winkels. Op dit moment zijn er 69 vestigingen, waarvan 55 in Nederland, 3 in België en 11 in Duitsland. Intratuin is een soft franchise formule. De vestigingen worden gefaciliteerd door het servicekantoor in Woerden, een distributiecentrum voor hardwaren in Venlo en een distributiecentrum voor groen in Aalsmeer.
Alle winkels beslaan samen een oppervlak van ruim 464.000 m2 ofwel zo’n 93 voetbalvelden. Er werken meer dan 3.300 medewerkers, die in totaal zo’n 80.000 verschillende artikelen verkopen aan 12.500.000 klanten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are very few people to answer questions, so the staff there is completely overwhelmed and become extremely unfriendly. Also, be aware that the descriptions of their articles are missleadig/wrong. Oh, and aligned with their indoor bad service is the client service 'outside' also very bad. The phone I have been trying to call is always occupied and the general phone in the webpage is only for online shop. For such an expensive place, the service is very bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big selection of all kinds of things you woukd expect in a garden center and at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, if the person you ask doesn't know the answer they'll bring in a colleague who does! All in all a thumbs up!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once in you have to walk all the way around to get back out if you forget anything. Service is fine, products and choice is good, buy not the top names, but for the tops prices.
Usual intra experience, displays are lacking inspiration.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We bought a 2 meters tall plant with a discount. We assumed that it had a discount, because some of the leaves were damaged. After 4 days we noticed that the top of the plant was majorly infected with woolly lice. (It was not visible from the ground) We went back to the store to ask for help and assumed that they will give us something to treat the plant with. It was not the case.
They told us that we should bring the plant back and they will replace it for us, so we drove back, covered the plant in plastic, and brought it back to the store.
The plant did not get replaced. After bringing it back they told us that it cannot be replaced, because there was a discount on it. Since we did not want to bring back home the 2 meters tall plant after all of this, we got a gift card worth the price we paid for the plant in the end, but we were not compensated for the other plant that we bought with it or our own plants, which might have got the infection from it.
In the end we needed to spend the money we got back on the necessary treatment for the other plants, which does not feel like money well spent.
We never would have bought a plant with a discount if we knew it means that the plant is not healthy.
It wasn't a good experience.
