Had to pay 5 euros for them to check my bike for two minutes. Ridiculous. Didn't mention anything upfront. Not friendly.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BIKE SHOP. I strongly do NOT recommend this bike shop. I have been there 4 times and each time has been terrible. The first time I went to get all my brake pads replaced after a terrifying experience that left me with no brakes going down a busy tourist bridge... He made an appointment so that I could pick it up the following day. When I arrived, everything appeared in order and I paid the fee of 25Euros... I remember him not offering a receipt and acting very smug about it but I just thought perhaps he charged me too much but I didn't want to argue about it, I just wanted a safe bike... I went back a few times to pump up my tires ect, and each time the shop assistants were totally lovely.. but the owner would always find some way to yell at me and shoo me out go the shop as quick ad possible... Only two and a half months after replacing all my brake pads, I once again had no braking power and would often find myself in terrifying situations.. Although this time it appeared to be a problem with the actual connection of the front brake.. So I still went back to the same shop because it's close to home and (when the owner isn't yelling at you) the service is quite good... As I'm explaining that I have a problem with my front brake disconnecting itself, and then the back brake isn't strong enough to stop me, the owner starts flipping out and saying that 'the back brake is one year old' and 'I have no guarantee'... This confuses me but I try to look past it because I just want him to fix my brakes! I'd rather not live in fear of death each time I get on my bike... But he refused to do anything to my bike! Even after offering him money to just fix the problem!!! .. So I go home thoroughly upset and confused and still with a broken bike.. but then it dawns on me, he flipped out about that back brake because he never replaced it, even though he charged me the full fee.... I tried to reason with him several times but it was pointless (especially without the receipt)... Nevertheless, this is not how people should be treated. Unless you enjoy being ripped off, lied to and yelled at each time you get your bike repaired... please go somewhere else.

The guy that repaired my bike was not friendly at all. He told how much would it cost me to change the wheel of my bike in advance (€ 15), but when I went there to pick up my bike he asked me for € 35 saying that the problem was inside. Now I understand that it might have cost more (even if I think it's crazy how expensive can be something so simple in Amsterdam), however I really did not like his pretentious attitude. I will not be back for sure!

Went to that guy to repair my bike. 2 weeks later, after three visit, I still have more problems than when I first went to his shop. Go somewhere else if you need a repair, that will save you time and money.

Truly useless. Took my bike in needing a chain shortened, he first off aggressively removed the back wheel with no care right in front of me (damaging the back brakes). He then continued to remove the chain and complain during the procedure. He was unable to size the chain, so he put the bike back together (with the brakes broken). He then demanded I pay 10 euros, I made it clear he had damaged my brakes and did not fix the problem (his response was that my bike was poor quality and he wanted paid for his time). Thief like behaviour with no manners or solutions. BE PREPARED TO PAY 10 EUROS FOR USELESS INFORMATION AND EXPECT FURTHER BILLS TO FIX HIS REPAIRS!
