This store is great. Prices may be relatively high compared to the more common supermarkets, but it is still very cheap taking into consideration it saves you a plane ticket to Japan and Korea if you would like to enjoy the cuisine.

Looks very appealing and delicious, but I'm having a hard time understanding what everything is, given minimal English translations of all Japanese packaging texts. Obviously store is meant for vast amount of people with Japanese origins living in this region. Still curious to learn more about what this store has to offer.

Great place to find japanese and Korean food. They are fresh. It's a bit expensive though. They can serve as well as take away some cooked meal and delicacies. Be careful even very tasty they are some times just taken from the frozen products or directly from the off the shelf product they are selling ...

Pros: - Huge selection of frozen meat! (Anything you can think of!) - Excellent varieties of snack food and dry food (soy sauce, instant noodles, alcohol, etc) - Great options for prepared food and desserts (bulgogi, kimchi, dumplings, mochi, etc), especially during end of week/weekend Cons: - Extremely high prices, definitely on the highest side €€€, even by Amsterdam’s standard - Not too many options for produce (Asian veggies or fruits) - Not many Asian rice fairly priced Overall, I think this place is targeting expats, internationals students, or locals with a very high income (such as the area where it’s located). You can easily spend €40-€50 buying a single small bag of groceries here. Occasionally I’ve seen some good deals, although rare.

There are various options for the Japanese and Korean snacks, as well as the latest most popular ones XD. Finally got raw beef tongue slices. However, if you compare the prices of a same product between Shilla and Oriental, it would be much more expensive.

Great upscale supermarket in a very decent mall, with Japanese and Korean products. Next to that they have freshly prepared food and in non-COVID times also a small restaurant. The variety is huge, the supermarket is very modern, clean and pretty. Staff is very friendly and everything is as it should be. Yes, it’s more expensive, but that is fine and worth it. Pro tip: parking in the garage below is free for the first hour or so, so you have all the time to do you shopping here.

I've placed an order on their webshop. I noticed that most of the products I've received the shelf life is only a few months. A few of those items were on sale so I knew those would have a short shelf life. But the rest I've paid the full price. A third of the full priced items expire after 1,5 month. I didn't want to pay the shipping cost so I've bought a lot to reach the minimum order amount. I know that Japanese food items generally have a shorter shelf life than Dutch food item. And for someone who does not make Asian food regularly, it would be very difficult to finish them on time. If they want to make their webshop a success either sell those almost expired items with discount or mention the expiry dates of the items. Customers can then decide if they want to buy it or not.
