V	Victor van Kampen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ John heeft uitstekend met mij meegedacht over mn George Benson GB20 Ibanez gitaar, de Seymour Duncan pickup was stuk en hij heeft de originele Benson humbucker terug geplaatst en de volume potmeter gesoldeerd, alles is prima gedaan en funktioneert weer naar volle tevredenheid. Victor van Kampen. John thought along with me about my George Benson GB20 Ibanez guitar, the Seymour Duncan pickup was broken and he put the original Benson humbucker back and soldered the volume potentiometer, everything has been done well and functions again to full satisfaction. John heeft mijn Ibanez geupgrade van een instap gitaar naar een "echte" gitaar (nieuwe nut, pickups, pots & wiring en de toevoeging van 2 miniswitches voor coilsplits) en heeft dat top gedaan! John staat open voor je vragen & denkt graag met je mee. Ik zou John Muijen zeker aanraden aan vrienden die iets aan hun gitaar gerepareerd / afgesteld / geupgrade willen hebben. John is a nice man, he provides fast & clear mail / whatsapp contact and keeps you well informed about the status of your guitar. John upgraded my Ibanez from an entry level guitar to a "real" guitar (new nut, pickups, pots & wiring and the addition of 2 mini switches for coil splits) and did a great job! John is open to your questions and likes to think along with you. I would definitely recommend John Muijen to friends who want to have their guitar repaired / adjusted / upgraded.
J	Jaap van Deurzen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik was volkomen van de kaart toen mijn Martin D 35, die ik al meer dan veertig jaar heb, zijn nek brak. (Overigens voor de tweede keer) Hij werd 2 x eerder gerepareerd, blijkbaar door een slager uit Koevorden, want er klopte niks meer van. De snaren maakten een vreemd bijgeluid en ik liet hem jaren staan. Tot ik een nieuwe reparateur vond die hem provisorisch oplapte, maar nog steeds niet perfect en toen gebeurde het, de gitaar viel na een feestje opnieuw. De dader ligt op het kerkhof. Ik belde lukraak met John Muijen en die vertelde direct dat hij wel te maken was. Zelden heb ik zo’n vakman ontmoet. Hij heeft de gitaar uit zijn graf getoverd. Mijn Martin D35 is sterker en mooier tevoorschijn gekomen, hoe krijg je het voor elkaar. Dank John!!!!!! JAAP VAN DEURZEN I was completely devastated when my Martin D 35, which I've had for over forty years, broke its neck. (By the way for the second time) He was repaired twice before, apparently by a butcher from Koevorden, because nothing was right anymore. The strings made a strange noise and I left it for years. Until I found a new repairman who patched it up temporarily, but still not perfect and then it happened, the guitar fell again after a party. The killer is in the cemetery. I randomly called John Muijen and he immediately told me that he could be made. Rarely have I met such a professional. He has pulled the guitar out of his grave. My Martin D35 has emerged stronger and more beautiful, how do you do it. Thanks John!!!!!! JAAP OF DOORS

Een belletje gedaan en meteen een goed gevoel aan overgehouden. Enorm vriendelijk en geweldig vakkundig. Gitaar kon vrij snel weer opgehaald worden, klinkt fantastisch, maar de bespeelbaarheid is er ook enorm op vooruit gegaan. Super tevreden, vast adres gevonden voor mijn gitaren :)! Got in touch with John as I was eager to upgrade my first strat with new hardware and a completely new pickguard! Made a phone call and immediately got a good feeling about it. Extremely friendly and extremely professional. Guitar could be picked up again fairly quickly, sounds fantastic, but the playability has also improved enormously. Super satisfied, found a permanent address for my guitars :)!

De gitaar was een cadeau van mijn ouders voor mijn 14e verjaardag en heeft daarmee veel emotionele waarde. The guitar was a gift from my parents for my 14th birthday and therefore has a lot of sentimental value. John has sensed that very well and has managed to translate my wishes into a technical tour de force: from a simple Japanese bass to a beautiful copy of James Jamerson's bass that feels wonderful, plays great and sounds great! Also for advice you can always can contact him . His workshop is clean and well organized. Over the years John has done repairs and modifications on my guitars, work very well done. I highly recommend his services to future clients in search of an excellent luthier.

He replaced the worn out nut with a bone one, adjusted the truss rod, the action and the intonation, and replaced the crackling output. As a bonus he cleaned the neck and body and polished the frets. All this for a reasonable price. I highly recommend John!
