Kantien is een eetbar met producten van eigen grond!
Veel groenten, duurzame vis en verantwoord vlees.
We serveren een vast menu met vis en vlees met daarnaast een volledig menu op basis van groente.
We serveren een 3-/4-/of 5-gangen.
Ook serveren we op zaterdag en zondag tussen 12.00 en 15.00 een heerlijke brunch. Net zoals in de avond. Geen keus, maar wel een heerlijk volle tafel!
Op zaterdag tussen 15.00 en 17.00 De Oesterborrel waarbij de oesters €1.75 p/stuk zijn! Lekker met een glaasje bubbels om je weekend te vieren!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here for dinner with my partner, everything was absolutely amazing: from wine selection (organic and natural wines!), to the meal. Every course is well composed and balanced in term of textures, colors, and most importantly tastes. Soundtrack, service and interior design make this place a little gem of Netherlands’s gastronomy, don’t miss it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our favourite places in town. Food is varied and delicious, from brunch to dinner, to the weekend specials. Staff are the friendliest in town, and really make you want to keep coming back.

They can give you advice about the food and drinks. Like real advice, not "this very expensive one is tasty".
The portions are small and shared. So you can order and try many different things.
The food is a bit different from your normal recipes, special little treats.
The only minuses are that we had to wait quite a bit sometimes for our food or drinks because it was busy.
Overall good experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly such a shame to give such a low review, but I’m so disappointed that since the lockdown, and further with the move, they’ve just completely abandoned their core vegetation menu. They were in my ‘Top 3’ vegetarian restaurants in Utrecht about 2 years ago…amazing flavors and innovative dishes, but alas, it is no more :(
