Had a great time chatting to the owner who was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the selection of local & international craft beers on offer. Great cosy local bar. A lambic beer list in addition to the standard list was a bonus! Felt more like having a drink with some mates in their home rather then going out to a bar. Great selection of smaller hard to find spirits as well. Small snack list if your feeling peckish. All markups very reasonable.

I've only been here twice but even the first half an hour was so nice I had to book another trip to Utrecht just to come here and see what's on the tap. Just an absolutely wonderful atmosphere that reminds you of neighbourhood's shared livingroom.

I happened not to be really in the mood for drinks therefore I did not order anything. The owner, with serious face and aggressive tone told my friends (I was right there!) “if she doesn’t order she needs to leave”. I thought he was joking (not fun) so i stayed. It was only when he repeated it, that I had to make my way out… no words. Out of this world.

Although I have lived abroad for 4 years now, I still vividly remember Erik and his staff's fantastic service and hospitality, let alone the beer selection. Not just the newest hazy beers, a carefully selected mix of traditional and modern. A must visit while in Utrecht.
