★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Officially the worst Christmas market experience. Don’t expect a cosy makers and food market, there is only cheap China merchandise around, and a couple of sausage spots. No Christmas nor Dutch spirit; no magic at all, unfortunately.
Santa’s village is disappointing too. I am so sorry for ’Santa’; it’s quite a quest to find him in the midst of food tents.
Highly recommended to avoid this place at all costs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent 3 days camping in the area. We visited market 4 first and loved the miniatures and religious story, market 2 second - a bit disappointing, then onto market 1 - our fav for shopping and finishing with cave 3 and the sand sculptures and the christmas parade.
We had a lovely few days, we now feel relaxed and festive and will recommend to our friends. we were made welcome and everyone spoke great English!

A definite attraction not to miss us the Christmas parade.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place in the Netherlands. The market were ok, some are great others just fine. I liked the pub by the end of the cave. Go early otherwise you will have to wait. People with tickets should have immediate priority not that you still need to wait for people without tickets to buy and enter. Great Christmas experience. Usually Xmas in the Netherlands bis a bit sad but in this city you can feel the Xmas spirit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a pretty Christmas market to do one time just to check out the caves and Christmas decorations. The Christmas lights are pretty and it’s a unique atmosphere. The market itself is disappointing. We didn’t really see anything unique or handmade besides 2 stalls. A lot of things seem like wholesale goods you can get on Amazon. We went on a Thursday morning and it was not crowded at all. There is a soup stand that sells really good hot soups. Not much good food other than that. You’ll exit the same way you came in, just a different split. All the routes will dead end so you can’t get lost. The address to get to the cave is 6301 BT and it’ll lead you right to the entrance. Costs €8,50 to enter and you’ll need a COVID QR code.
