★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This "ex Wilhelmina Mijn" open cast mine turns into a sand sculpture paradise from November to October every year. 2018 is themed as 1001 nights.
Well executed artworks. Food and drink and facilities available. Prepare for some stairs.

There's certainly more sculptures than euros paid for the entry. It's currently 1001 nights. The stories chosen are interesting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be sure to visit this place before Christmas, I'm sure the atmosphere is better than few days after Christmas when I've visited it. It was kind of sad. The sand sculptures were amazing but 16 euro for that small exhibition seems too much. There is also a small fenicular (you pay it extra). Parking is available in nearby streets and there is one around 300 m from the Christmas market.
