Amazing. Basically a huge labyrinth of caverns and mining tunnels. Fantastic old drawings and sculptures from miners, artists and people who hid there during WWII. The tour is stunning and impressive. DO NOT GO THERE WITHOUT GUIDE. DON'T TOUCH THE PICTURES.

We had a nice tour through the Fluweelengrot. The guide was a funny guy what gives it an extra dimension. It is a 50 minutes’ walk trough the caves and you will see multiple well-made artworks on the walls. In the second world war it is used as hiding place. At the exit you will find the ruins of a castle on top of a small hill.

As a person who does not speak Dutch I came across minor issues. It's ignorant to state such a thesis but it might be helpful for other tourists. The tour itself is not offered in English, however the stuff speaks perfectly in English and what is more, visitors receive a flyer with brief description of all places and art pieces that are being described during the walk. On top of that, anyone can ask questions in English / Dutch (possibly more) what is extremely nice. Moreover, some interesting sculptures and paintings are not being spoken about but I believe it is due to the fact that tour takes 1 hour, there is countless tunels and the temperature is not enjoyable. The last thing I have noticed is the lighting. The only one source of light provided is not so bright flashlight that is being held by the member of the stuff. For some it may be a problem because of poor visibility but for others it can be positive thing due to the fact of keeping the original vibe alive. Of course you are allowed to use your own phone to light your point of interest. To sum up, wonderful and unique place that is worth visiting. The only one downside is lack of English tour guide.

Absolutely magnificent during Advent and from 15 November until Christmas. Good selection of goods, beautiful decorations. Take time for a 2 hour visit.

The Christmas market is the most amazing thing to see. Not only do you get to see the beauty of the caves, but the decorations and shops are spectacular! Bring Cash because only some shops can take your chip card.

Very nice cave with lot of charcoal paintings. In the winter there is a Christmas market inside. The tour is about an hour. Very nice guide. Fun and informative.

Very cute cave to visit during Christmas. It has a lot of stands but not very traditional ones. You will see basic markets for like phonecases but there is definetly some Christmas stuff in there. The whole walk takes about an hour and now that you have to reserve a time spot it won't be that crowded. I would recommend having cash on you as the signal is really bad in the mines so the pin probably won't work. There is also a restaurant in the middle of the network which only accepts cash.
