Amazing history behind the very famous Limburg Brothers. The people there are nice and very friendly. I loved the passion behind their exposition.

We did the tour here. Book in advance. Highly recommended! Very interesting! We learned a lot. We first received an explanation, saw the film and then went into the partly candle-lit cellar. The Van Lymborgh brothers have lived here. After that they went to paint in France for Duc de Berry. The books they have made are beautiful with very meticulous drawings. These books are spread over major foreign museums. Beautiful copies of the books of hours are present in this house. Medieval vaults have been found under the house, which probably served as storage space.

Nice little museum with knowledgeable and passionate explainers. An asset to the city that, after centuries, reveals the origin, education and significance of the Van Lymborch Brothers (until recently unjustly from Limburg) in an infectious way.

This new modest and lovingly presented museum exhibition is a pearl of Nijmegen and Dutch history. Absolutely fascinating the short lives and revolutionary works of these three brothers. Connections to Hieronymus Bosch included (and not what you would expect!). Thanks to the wonderfully knowledgeable local guides.

If you are interested in art and in a good comprehensive connected historical tour trough the high middle ages I recommend this museum. It contains original fragmens of the Dutch painters who were employed by the French rich and powerful. Personally I found the original historical medieval cellar was cool, it has potential to become one of those places you'll want to visit at least once a year.

We were incredibly lucky to have a guided tour from Peter, who was one of the founding fathers of this small museum. The museum's core is the rediscovery of the history of art, in particular, the direct predecessors of the entire Northern Renaissance and such art superstars as Jan van Eyck. This place is unique, just like the history behind it. I'm wishing you and your research all the luck in the world!
