Voilà, daar is ze! Vanaf haar drempel zwaait ze je al tegemoet. Bonjour, Louise! Ja, het kan niet anders of je werd verwacht. Zo is Louise. Ze is er voor jong en oud, voor vaste gasten en toevallige voorbijgangers, voor iedereen. Aan haar deur is het altijd alsof je thuiskomt. Dus schuif nu maar vrolijk aan, en laat ze dadelijk voor je koken. Ze weet wel wat je lekker vindt. Kom je er zelf ook even bij zitten, Louise? Wat is het gezellig hier. Fijn dat je er bent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was here on two occasions. My birthday breakfast and a dinner with friends. Both were delightful experiences. The dinner was far more expensive in relative terms, and quite expensive in absolute terms, too. But was it worth it? Undoubtedly! Go there at least once. Indulge in their wonderful steak. C'était absolument délicieux.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best restaurant in Rotterdam today. It is tiny and the entrance is hidden behind a steal door, but the food, the Ambiance and service are top notch!
Personal recommendation, go here for lunch!
And get it all! From appetizer to dessert and don't forget the Cognac.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place in general, but even during a peak hour staff could be more attentive, because it was impossible to order and then to get a bill, we had to stand next to the counter for around 7-10 minutes. A little bit of expensive and the Benedict was slightly overcooked, but pastry is fresh. Also you can buy some treats from France.

Lovely French inspired menu and vintage decor, everything is delicious and done with very good taste, a place that is different from all other lunch/brunch places in Rotterdam that look kind of the same. We tried the croque madame and the eggs royal (with salmon) everything was DELICIOUS, very high quality food and beautifully presented. We also tried the marcaron with foie filling, we were very curious about it and it was a nice surprising bite. Did not try much of the sweets, but I'll definitely come back to try them, the pastries look so inviting. Super recommended.

Steak tartare was extremely tender and juicy! Côte de boeuf that is served for 2 people, can actually be eaten by 3 at least- enormous portion!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing cozy French restaurant with a vast variety of classic French breakfasts: croque madame, eggs Benedict, crepe, etc. Highly recommend, although the prices are a little bit higher than in average breakfast place in Rotterdam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cosy nice place for breakfast. It is not well designed acoustically speaking, it gets loud very easily so you have to talk very loudly to understand each other. The chairs were quite uncomfortable and not really made for dining. The egg Benedict was quite nice, which cannot really be said about the Tarte Tatin with vanilla cream, where the portion was very small considering the price and the cream tasted more like sour cream than vanilla, the taste of the dessert wasn’t that great either. The staff was very friendly, but it was quite strange as we were served by three people in total. Overall an okay place, if you want to get a different experience when it comes to breakfast in Rotterdam and you don’t mind spending some money (more than it’s worth), this is the place for you.
