This agency scammed me. I signed a contract with Expat Residence for an apartment, and Michel van der Steen made sure that the contract was all-inclusive (rent plus utilities, internet, tv). 18 months after living in the apartment I get told that the entire time the apartment did not include electricity. I am now being denied my security deposit and I am being forced to take legal action.
I have written a complaint to Michel and he has chosen to ignore me.
I do NOT recommend and I WARN anyone to not rent from this agency, as they will lure you into renting from them under FALSE conditions.

β β β β β We hired Michel and Co to help us look for an apartment in The Hague. During the pandemic it was difficult to visit places and we were based far from Netherlands anyway. Michel helped us setup appoints, did the videocalls and helped us negotiate our contract. He also helped to coordinate delivery and assembly of items and hire the right people for that. In all , it was a very good experience.

After talking to him over the phone, he explained in full details our potential partnership, and we were convinced that Expat Residence was the parter we would trust our apartment βOur Homeβ to.
Every interaction by Email, voice or text was professional and always polite. Weekdays or weekends Michael was able help and reply to our questions.
I would recommend Michel as a trusted partner.

I honestly admit that without Michel's assistance in research, attentiveness to our wishes, organisation of virtual tours with care, professional negotiation on our behalf, we wouldn't succeed in renting apartment so smooth and quick. We would definately suggest his assitance for people searching apartments to rent, and looking for a real and true professional.
