★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to enjoy buying croissants and bread at Noe but stopped going after they sold me a burnt loaf on a couple of occasions. I took the loaf back the second time this happened. They gave me my money back but only after the Dutch assistant had lectured me that it was my fault for not having inspected both sides of the loaf before buying it. Even in Holland it is hardly the customer's fault if they sell burnt bread (particularly in an expensive shop). Also the escargots are like horrible dry Dutch "koffiebrodjes" and not remotely French.
After Noë's arrogant and unapologetic response to my review I am downgrading my review to one star. My French wife is more than capable of judging what is French :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely cafe bakery, super friendly staff! Very very tasty baguette, madeleine cookies and lots of lovely pastry. The personnel was super friendly. We went there with our baby and dog mainly for coffee and we are definitely going back again! Whatever we tried was delicious and the friendliness of the people working there won our heart !

At first I thought it might have been my own wrong interpretation of her actions but as I've read some other reviews about an (maybe the same) employee that wasn't welcoming, I decided to post my experience as well. As I walked into the shop I was the only customer there and the staff member working there was sitting and as she stood up she let out this big sigh of dissatisfaction that made me feel really unwelcome. As I was looking around because it was my first time there she was giving me this look as if I was taking way too long to decide what I want. I naturally hurriedly made my decision on some breads (which were amazing btw), paid and left. I was super excited to visit this bakery which was on my wish list for quite some time but this experience makes me not want to go again.

I went in to buy a few different cookies and pastries for a birthday party. There was only one other customer in the store so I thought I could look around, I thought wrong. The store clerk did not let me look around and hurried me to finish my order. I had to stop her multiple times from calculating my total because my order wasn't finished. After I had bought all the items I wanted she shoved the cookies in my direction because apparently I was too slow when picking them up. After I had left I found out I had a wrong item. I asked specifically for chocolate cookies as I am allergic to nuts... I ended up with nut cookies.
I am super disappointed I like the pastries at this place but with this type of service I can't come back. Hope the service will be able to match the pastries again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ good but can be better..their bakers are not super skilled as loafs vary in terms of baking often plus they make breads very hard to chew ..croissants are nice! desserts are the same all the time and some nice additions they had like the tart with coffee, they removed. good try but can be better..i d also appreciate more ready salty snacks..some focaccia types of snacks they have are very bad..main lady serving is always polite.
