★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely interior, friendly personnel, the american pancakes (coming with some sweet syrup) were great and really not expensive, and the orange juice tasted fresh. Also, it was nice that we got a small piece of apple cake with our tea. Only objection: the tea infuser didn't entirely close so I had a whole bunch of leaves in my tea in the end.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It appears, Pernikkel changed hands. While it is still a decent café, it isn’t that unique experience it was anymore. It doesn’t distinguish itself from other hipster cafés you’ll find all over Europe anymore.

The pancakes were well prepared and the portion was generous.
The coffee was really good as well as the juice.
We had a nice table in the window and we enjoyed the view of the people passing and the traffic.
Just a bit outside the main center of town so easily reachable.
