Vanuit de woning aan de Louerstraat 14 leidde majoor Evans de bevrijding tot hij zelf zwaar gewond raakte. Je loopt er zo voorbij want de plaquette is klein. Het huis is bewoond dus je moet wel even op hun oprit staan om het te lezen.
 Plaque for Major John Evans, under whose command the English B company of the Queens Royal Regiment liberated Susteren on January 17, 1945. Major Evans led the liberation from the house at Louerstraat 14 until he was seriously injured. You can easily pass it because the plaque is small. The house is inhabited so you have to stand in their driveway to read it.
