Cosy restaurant, with nice staff. Value for money however seems off. We spent 300 euros with the three of us for a three course meal with just 1 bottle of red wine. - Overall wines are expensive... (all >40 euros per bottle, and generally much more than that) And glass of bubbles is 16 euros. - 1 of the starters, steak tartare with oysters was very disappointing (only had one bite, taste of the oysters was way too strong) and part of the tarbot that we had as a main was undercooked. - Desserts (2 affogato's and caramel ice cream) nothing special. Compared to similar restaurants in the city - despite many things that it has going for it - this one (currently) lacks creativity and decent pricing...

Really lovely food, well presented and full of flavour. Good wine list and good service. Not far off that M*.

Although I love 212 restaurant dearly, their new brasserie didn’t impress. It was way too warm and ventilation didn’t properly work, which made not the best start. Sommelier was not very helpful and instead of offering alternative options, just disappeared.I loved the idea of 212 wine kelder but a lot of options were not available. The service wasn’t great, however I loved our main courses! Tartare was a bit too strong on oysters though. Compliments to Bas, he was very attentive and helped with the choice.

Over priced restaurant. They're trying to be unique, but there are not. Quality of food was average, but with Amstel hotel prices. Food presentation doesn't improve the taste and quality!!! This was our 1st and last time we are going there. The price tag was almost 500 Euros for 4 people. They also need to get rid of old mismatched English china. The service could also improve.

This place has a great atmosphere. When you enter it looks, feels and smells like a small Parisian restaurant. Although the kitchen staff definitively knows what they're doing not all dished on their menu are equal. After a slightly disappointing starter the kitchen redeemed itself with an incredible main. The wine list is sufficient and offers options at multiple price points. That being said, the only thing that doesn't quite make sense is the price. At this price point everything has to make sense, the food, the staff, the space itself. Although I really liked this place, at this price point there're better options in Amsterdam.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We had an awesome evening at De Juwelier. Fantastic wine, terrific food and overall great experience. I will definitely remember the tomatoes & mustard ice cream, bone marrow ? and tartare with oysters The service was excellent ?

little sibling of 212 with a Parisian brasserie feel to it! both menu and wine list are great! had some steak tartar as starter and turbot as main. Cooked to perfection without being too pretentious. Very tasty. Open kitchen when you enter the restaurant with friendly staff. keep it up team!

The ambience (as days get shorter) is good. At the entrance there is bench seating directly in front of the kitchen, then a downstairs and a mezzanine. Overall, service has its issues. Used plates removed as new course is put down. Food had highlights. The leek terrine and the gnocchi with cheese were both superb. The bone marrow dish not so. The bone gets reused. The souffle egg dish was definitely not worth €23. Total for 2 people was €250 of which wine was €58.
