The worst customer service i’ve seen in years! Due to a technical fault of their own, I could not open a car but they charged me nevertheless - 80 euro. But that’s not it: they decided to completely ignore my complaint. Zero reaction. Nothing. And its been a month! What’s really ugly is that their customer service simply doesn’t work on Sundays - how silly is that? Use at your own risk and pray you won’t need their customer service. If you run into an issue, they will simply ignore you. Perhaps, one of the worst car sharing companies today.

Dissatisfied about the contacts, of better no contact is possible. If you have rented a car and you will change that, thats only possible online/app and there is no warning that changes cost money. In my case, 1 day less rent concluded in 90 euro more.

Branch opening time was 8 but they didn't open till 10am. No note on the door and hotline doesn't work. My booking was at 9 am and I had to walk over to the car returns, 15mins walk, before I found out that an employee decided not to turn up for work. I get that it might happen but why was no information given to the customer or the phone number that you provided for emergency working? I paid originally with revolut and they accepted and charged my card. On the day of collection, they suddenly couldn't accept revolut for the deposit. So instead of letting me use another card for just the deposit, they forced me to use a different credit card where I got charged 2% fee for foreign transaction. I mean if you don't accept revolut, just inform the customer before he/she books.

Car rental how it should be. Fast and efficient, super friendly staff, no up sale of additional insurance. A new, immaculate SUV was provided with almost every factory extra included which made it a total pleasure to drive (BMW X4 MSport 2021). If you need a car rental in Amsterdam, you should look no further than Sixt. Special thanks to Sanne for the great service.

I'm an Italian expat living in Amsterdam since many years now, and believe me, every time I had to move from one old apartment to a new one I was always very stressed out; I've been collecting so many numbers of people that own a van that you can't even imagine. But finally I found SIXT! Not only to drive and move through the city, but also able to put all my stuff in it and change apartment in few hours! I've been renting 2 vans in the last 2 weeks; the first one was for my moving and the second one was for my boyfriend that also was going to move.. So i basically booked 2 vans, the first one on a Saturday, and the second one on a Monday for my boyfriend. Everything is been soooo smooth! The vans are both very new and super comfy! Easy to drive and very very clean from the inside, I was almost feeling guilty cause we had to fill it up with all kind of objects and luggages and furniture. I have to say, I will always recommend Sixt to all my friends and people that will need to move through the city for holidays or moving. It's been the smoothest driving/moving experience ever had in Amsterdam since 2016 :D Thanks!!!

No point in making a reservation at a specific time, always keep you waiting for 15 minutes plus. Have had this happen multiple times now... And this is at non peak season. Have never seen more than one person working at the counter.

I was accused for damaging the car with no evidence provided. I had submitted my evidence on the car condition upon return was tip top without damages but there was no reply. I was also charged for fuel despite returning car with full tank. I was told by the sales person that I need to return the car with full tank which I did. I also provided photo evidence that car petrol is full tank. I also did not receive any response for that. These 2 issues reported with no response is not being fair to me nor acceptable as customer service. I am a frequent traveller and had been a regular customer of enterprise. This is the first time I tried sixt with the intent to switch to sixt but experience was very bad. I hope I can be treated fairly and get a reasonable response back for both issues.

Customer service is nice but they will screw you by the car.. i rented in Amsterdam and i dropped the car off in munich but they tricked me into paying the oneway fee even though the car belongs to germany.. for me i wont deal with them again and i suggest either find honest car rental or use the public transport.
