I went to this place and was advised in a friendly manner. The reason I'm giving one star is to try and compensate for the many fake 5-star reviews down below. If you google on the name of the owner and a few of the names below, you'll figure it out. Also, a few of them have conveniently only reviewed this place and conveniently given it a five star rating.

Ordered the couch 14 weeks ago, was promised it in 12 weeks. After several emails and calls still no idea when everything will arrive.. UPDATE -sometimes I can be unreasonable - couch is really nice and people were patient and friendly

We were very excited when we bought our couch here due to the promises made by the sales associate. We explained the situation that we needed a sofa bed because I am expecting twins and my in laws would be staying at our house after the birth. We had a time frame and a limited budget. We were promised that 7 weeks could be do able and so we went ahead with the purchase and payed a down payment. Two weeks after purchase we were called that the fabric was no longer available and so we chose a different one, which means it had not even been ordered yet. One month after purchase we called to get a date of when the couch would be delivered. The sales lady then went on to say she wouldn't know until the 5th or 6th week. Okay.... this was not told to us before we purchased. She then went on to say that we signed agreeing to 8 to 10 weeks. Yes, also true but only because, as mentioned, she said we would have it by 7 weeks. We are now in week 9 since purchase with no delivery date and today I spoke to the owner explaining our situation of how I am going into labor next week with my family arriving next week and that this is now literally taking money from my unborn children's mouth as we will have to put family in an air bnb. I was told by him he would call me back the same day but he did not. It is seeming that my worst nightmares are coming true of having no place for family, no place for 2 couches in my house, as they wont give me a delivery date and also the high chance that the couch will be delivered while I am in hospital or worse at home with newborn twins. What's so hard about offering good customer service. :( Update: finally decided to just go there as it seemed a game of cat and mouse was just too stressful. On our way to the shop we received this email from the owner: Beste John en Kimberley. Ik heb gisella gesproken omtrent levertermijn, jullie geven aan dat gisella jullie belooft heeft met 7 weken te leveren. Ik heb haar gesproken en ze geeft aan dat ze dit niet heeft belooft maar haar best zou doen om zsm te leveren, we kunnen levertermijnen nooit beloven dat is onmogelijk !! we zijn afhankelijk van fabrikanten. daarome houden we een levertermijn aan van 8-12 weken. Jullie maken er nu een enorme onterechte drama van gaan op internet ons zwart maken, wat ik erg zwak vind, we staan nog in onze recht. Jullie zijn ons onterecht aan het beschuldigen, erg jammer dit, natuurlijk is het makkelijk om iemand gelijk zwart te maken. Op jullie bon staat 8-12 weken anders zou er 7 weken op staan het komt wel eens voor dat we met -6-7 weken leveren, maar we zijn afhankelijk van de fabrikant. Nu zijn wij de boos doener, omdat jullie geen slaapplek hebben voor jullie ouders, dit is toch te gek voor woorden! ons onterecht beschuldigen! niet rechtvaardig wat u doet! MVG Vural He then went on to leave me waiting an hour in the shop, while just casually strolling by us 5 times. When he finally unveiled that he was the owner, I confronted him on how he could leave a heavily pregnant woman sitting on a bench for an hour. He tried then to actually get my husband to seem aggressive to get us kicked out, to which I immediately called the police. This type of company now goes beyond bad service to just taking advantage.

UPDATE - yea, they're not very communicative but the couch is nice and affordable. so just make sure you keep bothering them for status updates. (took 14 weeks, when promised 10-12) UPDATE - in response to the owner - firstly, you basically don't respond to emails - which is frustrating that to speak with you I have to step out from work during business hours. Secondly, I've called you 4 times now about when my couch will be in. To which I 100% received the unhelpful response of 'I don't know - my boss will call you tomorrow.' Originally I was promised the couch in 10 weeks, but told to expect a potential delay of 2 weeks - so plan on 12. However, after following up with you guys I've been told that the couch will be ready during the 14th week - firstly, why do I have to follow-up - it's your business - you should handle your customer service better. Secondly, if you're going to fail on your promises as a business (deliver within 12 weeks) I expect a discount of sorts or something for my trouble. but I've been told 'na, delays within 4 weeks are to be expected.' as such I'm communicating my experience to anyone reading google that it's going to be a rough experience buying a couch from y'all. apologies for the negative review, but this is an accurate reflection of my experience. original - Don’t trust anything they say. It’s all lies. Just to make the sale and service is horrible

This review cost me 500 euro... so heads up! Our experience at Sofamaxwonen was very sweet in the beginning, but very bitter in the middle, and we don't yet know the end. We enjoyed the whiskey and wine in the middle of negotiating with Vural, but once the deal was signed there were unexpected developments: 1) We had the length of the couch reduced when came home to see that 310 would not fit. This was a leather couch, and Vural agreed to reduce the length to 270. However, he would not agree to reduce the price, even though 40cm of leather couch costs roughly 3-400 euro at comparable shops. 2) On the day of delivery, we were asked to pay cash on delivery. We were not told about this in advance of signing the deal, and the deposit was via pin. Also, an invoice was not sent, but we were told that we will get one once payment is done. This is not acceptable, as it creates a situation wherein we hand over cash without a record of the transaction. 3) The quality of the couch is overall good, but arrived with two small burn marks on the visible top surfaces. These are minor and we don't notice them much anymore.

Nice service! We've been walking around floors of VIlla arena looking for a sofa/bed for not so crazy price. This was the first shop where a sales woman approached us offering help and within 2 minutes we identified a sofa we both liked and it was also on sale! Same day we had it delivered and setup!

In the first week of december I bought a sofa in the Sofa Max Wonen Villa Arena Amsterdam and paid full amount for it. As agreed with the shop assistant and as written in the invoice, the sofa was supposed to be delivered to my house within 8 weeks from the date of purchase. Today is the 26 of February and still no sofa. I have been contacting the shop and chasing for the information but nobody knows anything. The company is unprofessional and do not care about customer satisfaction- they did not even bother to call me to inform me about the delay. I will not recommend anyone to buy anything here. My invoice states a delivery time of 6 to 8 weeks. You lie and mislead the customers as usual. That is not entrepreneurship, but deception to make money
