β β β β β Amazing place! I was a bit afraid that it would be gimmicky and a tourist trap (looking at you, Moco "museum") but it exceeded our expectations. Somehow we managed to spent 3 hours there but maybe that's not surprising at all given the quality of the art. We did the tour with Alex who was fun and knowledgeable so I highly recommend doing that as well. The building itself is just breathtaking and I am so happy that they chose it as a place to house the exhibition. Everything was top notch, hope that there will be some evenrs/workshops organized in the future, would love to join an event dedicated to street art.

β β β β β Amazing museum?
Really happy we got the audio guide, it was very super insightful!
The art is mesmerizing, and it is a very different than any other museum in Amsterdam.

β β β β β Found it very interesting. Impressed by the sizes of the artworks. But also the history of the location is worth to know. The huge old factory hall is also a museum by itself.

β β β β β STRAAT is a cool location for the feeling of awe it gives people when they step in the gargantuan belly of those once ships maintenance sites (if Iβm not mistaken).
You should not however expect a true street art experience as all the astonishing works within are purposefully made for the gallery, mostly on commission Iβd say (please, let me know if this in no accurate).
That makes STRAAT more closely related to a state of the art gallery (pun intended ?) than to what a walk down Brick Lane would be, but that does not mean itβs not a cool place. Arenβt you feeling the FOMO yet ??
The inside cafe is lovely too, although the area showcases a few places deserving a snack visit too, up to you.
Enjoy the visit and learn about how street art developed from simple instinctive writings to large scale masterpieces.

β β β β β One of the best museums I've visited in Amsterdam, it captures the essence of street art through 5 different sections and showcases artworks from artists coming from more than 30 counties, my favorite section was the Latin American section, a must visit

β β β β β Wish we would have done the guided tour. Another reason to visit again. The artwork was mesmerizing considering the size of it. The depth, the color, the theme... each piece has its own personality and some truly thought provoking.
Loved the space but it got cold ( make sure to bundle up if you go in colder months)

β β β β β STRAAT is a great addition to the already elaborate selection of museums that Amsterdam has to offer. The raw feeling of the welding hangar and the huge sizes of the artworks give STRAAT an unique feeling.
Tip, plan your visit and adjust what you're wearing. Our visit was in the winter, there's no heating so it's cold. I can imagine that in the summer it could be a bit warm inside.

β β β β β I went to the Straat museum on a sunny Saturday afternoon with my teenage son. I expected it to be nice but was still surprised. The place is huge and has quite a large collection.
The art is beautiful and is exposed in a great way. I even loved the museum store.
The price is ok, it's a shame they don't accept the museum card as of now.
