About Teds Utrecht – All Day Brunch
A place where you can order Waffle Fries in the morning next to your French Toast or Poached Eggs in the afternoon, it simply didn’t exist in Amsterdam. Until May 2015 when Teds opened it’s doors for brunch, not just in the weekend and between breakfast & lunch, but All day and every day. Because, why not?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a table for a given time and when we arrived they still didn't have a table free but we were offered drinks on the house while we waited which was an extremely nice gesture (something I had never experienced before in the Netherlands). We sat inside for a bit and soon enough got our table in the terrace. The food was really good and the service very pleasant, the staff came over several times to ask if we were enjoying ourselves. I will definitely return again for the great service, location and food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food and coffee varieties at Teds are extremely delicious. I've ordered brunch from Teds many times in my two years of living in Utrecht, and I've never been disappointed. The actual cafe is a bit small but super cozy; would be better to make a reservation before visiting. The staff is friendly. Their 'Teds Original French Toast' is to die for! Definitely a must try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute little place for which you definitely need a reservation on weekends. It’s more of an “Americanized” brunch place. The food was beautifully prepared and tasted lovely. I had the triple Omega breakfast and really enjoyed it. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect chai latte in Utrecht, and unfortunately the one at Teds was not it. I would add this place to your list if youre looking for a nice brunch by the canal, the setting is lovely on a sunny morning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I had experienced a very bad service today. First one of the waitress completely ignored us while we were waiting at the entrance, passing multiple times in front of us as if we were invisible. Then they forgot our orders for food so we had to wait 45min for our food while other people next to us who ordered after us had their food way earlier than us (it was 10:15 in the morning so not even busy). I had the French toast which was very dry and not tasty, and I’m actually French so I know what it should taste like, I would have done a better job myself and I have very poor cooking skills. My friend ordered a small orange juice and the waitress brought a large one. Once my friend told her it was a mistake, she took it back and then came back with the same glass saying that she would only charge a small drink. As if it was an actual make up for the waiting time but it was just so they wouldn’t waste a drink. We didn’t even get a free drink or food to make up for this poor service. This is very unprofessional. We are frequent customers but to be honest I’m not sure if I would want to come back because of this.
