About The Highland House
‘A feel for beauty, a sense of time’ is the motto of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, which was entirely renovated in 2013 for € 375 million. Since 1885, the museum has been located in the National Museum building, designed by Dutch architect P.J.H. Cuypers.
The collection offers an overview of Dutch art and history from the late Middle Ages onwards. Works include those by the 17th-century Dutch masters Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, Frans Hals and Jan Steen.
The entire collection, including drawings, prints and photographs, encompasses around 1 million pieces. The museum is able to accommodate 1.5 to 2 million visitors each year. With 80 viewing spaces and a total area of 30,000m2, you might even be lucky enough to encounter a Rembrandt on your own. His famous Nachtwacht can be found in the heart of the building. The museum regularly organizes temporary exhibitions that are well worth a visit. For modern art lovers, the Van Gogh museum and the Stedelijk Museum is situated just a stone's throw away from 't Rijks’.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome hotel. Really nice, clean and modern. Each room is a different theme. The staff is amazing. It's a small boutique hotel, so there's no breakfast or gym or anything like that, but who cares. Great location, you can walk to all the sites in Amsterdam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bed was big and super comfortable..,, we had some good moments on the shower because it's very big looks like a rain and I also like your system Cromcast it's very modern and you can control and see everything with the tablet. And also we stayed on the den room that that has a stuffed animal and he was very very very creepy and yes that was the only thing that the we didn't like so much, thank you for having us Highland House

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s 1:37am & two men just tried to come into our room. There’s no reception until 5am and the Highlander Hotel we were directed to for any questions doesn’t have a working number. There is another guest on this floor who was calling for help from their room. My partner had to run across the street to find help.

Room was more space than I was expecting and just gorgeous with looks out to the street in front of the hotel. Loved every aspect of it and if I was able to I would have stayed a couple extra days. Thanks for a perfect stay!

Small room very tight enough for 1 or 2 max and the bathroom was separated; the sink and water/shower in different places and this was not comfortable.
Location very Good
Check in was easy and fast
