★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had Poffertjes with chocolate and pan cake with whipped cream, banana and chocolate. Both were amazing till the last bite. Additionally we took garlic bread to ease down the sweetness. Must visit, and it’s worth the wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place! Was expecting American pancakes though and got a crepe instead. Second time I went I ordered an omelette and it was ten out of ten! The best omelette I had in Amsterdam! Two thumbs up!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly the poffertjes were amazing!! 10/10 we loved it! But it’s very true about slow waits in front while half of the restaurant is empty… we found that part weird.. but as soon as we got our order in with the waiter we got really fast service and absolutely incredible tasting mini pancakes ? we just got the classic butter and sugar with stroop syrup ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, so having a sweet pancake early in the day wasn’t an option for me. Luckily, The Pancake Bakery had an extensive menu for both the sweet AND savory lovers.
Paired nicely with a glass of mimosa, which wasn’t on the menu but the staff kindly made for us anyway. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was fairly busy for being close to closing time. We didn’t know what to expect when we got there. It did take a moment to get seated and to get our order, but the waiter was super nice and informative. The menu has a lot of options. Almost too much. We wish breakfast would have been served all day, as the breakfast choices were more interesting. The food came out fairly quickly after ordering. We got the Dutch and the “Banana, Chocolate, and whip cream”, 2 of their top ordered items. They were big portions, so much, we couldn’t eat it all. It would have nice to have seen more bananas or more graham on the pancake, but good overall. Ice cream was delicious. A simple short stack of 3 fluffy pancakes with bacon for us Americans would have been good :) Overall, we thought it was a great experience and would recommend visiting.

The place was cozy, even though I prefer more light inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there for pancakes but they were not good. It was more like a crepe. But their Canadian omelette was amazing and a must try. It is quite expensive and will cost around 40€ for 2 people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic restaurant. We went for breakfast and we’re certainly not disappointed. The portions were huge and the food well prepared. The staff were informative and extremely helpful. The coffee was also really good.
Would definitely recommend the apple pancake!
