The Student Hotel The Hague - Hoefkade 9

I only stayed for a night, everyone was very nice and welcoming. The design is beautiful and unique. The bedroom I stayed in was very comfortable. There no negative words to describe this place.

I need to be 100% clear on this because I am sure that they will reply to this review and attempt to skew things. I have no idea how the hotel was as I was never able to stay. I made my reservations back before the Pandemic and was unable to travel due to the shutdown. I will admit that it was my mistake not to pay the extra for free cancelation, and the hotel refused to issue a refund at the time but instead told me I could change my reservations for up to a year. However, when I went to update my reservation last week I was told that because I did not make my changes by November 11 they were refusing to honor the reservation. I remember what conditions were like in November, and since I hold certifications in Public Health from the CDC and WHO I feel pretty confident in my assessment that at that time no one could know when things would open back up. It was a completely unreasonable deadline and they claim that many other people were able to change their dates. Maybe some people could accurately guess when the pandemic would end, but I would guess not. The solution they offered was to use my travel insurance, but as anyone who has dealt with travel insurance knows, the insurance will not cover government acts and border closures. In short, the hotel decided not to honor my reservation, keep the money, and attempt to hide behind a dubious loophole. Stay here if you want, but know that they will screw you over it they think it benefits them and that they can get away with it.

Pretty decent hotel. Cleaning/housekeeping could be improved, but the rooms look alright. There's not a lot of amenities, except for the gym (which is closed because of covid). There's a piano in a lounge but people will complain once someone starts playing it. The kitchen areas are a little plain but they work and the lounge is nice.

We have spent a few weeks at TSH The Hague when my daughter started her university. For a new student the hotel is a great place to get started in a new city and meet new friends. The staff were very helpful and I could mention a few like Jules, Maria, Naomi...The hotel can also provide residents with a proof of address to register for BSN which we found quite useful. Overall experience was very good and I highly recommend it.

I lived here for a year and they have such a nice community. If you're ever in The Hague, stop by. The location is excellent.

The location is quite convenient, very close to the train station, although it's not the nicest part of town. The room had a Nespresso and a good hair dryer, which were nice details. We first got a room facing the street, which can actually be really loud because of the traffic. The staff was super friendly and we were moved to a room facing the yard. The hotel has a parking for 12€ — driving in may be tricky for a new driver or with a large car.

Room is very nice. Wifi is fast, free gym, free laundry (selfservice), the shared areas and restaurant are quite nice. I've enjoyed my stay here. Highly recommended.

I have to add another review related to my last review. After I changed to another room far from the section above the main hall. The room is good and better, I have no noise now. Thanks for the team of receptions, I don't remember the name but maybe Nova.
