T	Tam Wright on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Experienced awful treatment at this restaurant. Was screamed at by a delivery driver on my way back to my seat, perhaps for being in his way. Feeling upset and confused, my friend and I asked for an apology for this behaviour. We were treated rudely and told to leave. The managed who we dealt with said they saw nothing wrong in the behaviour of the staff. As my friend waited patiently at the till and requested an apology, the aggressor pushed past her and thrust her out of the way. Shocked and horrified by the totally unnecessary and unacceptable aggression we were shown, and as paying customers!
J	John Butler-Gould on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rozengracht has more than its fair share of shoarma and kebab restaurants. Most offer good service and reasonably priced food. Unfortunately, Tonton Grillroom is the exception as service is frequently non-existent. Late in the evening, there can be as many as half a dozen or more staff in the small rear kitchen mostly dealing with take-away orders on which the restaurant seems to rely for the bulk of its income. Most of the time the staff are joking amongst themselves, drinking or eating, while totally ignoring customers at the front counter. It is not unusual to wait for 10 or more minutes before being attended to, not due to lack of staff but a disregard for clientèle. The motto "Client is King" does not exist here which is a pity as the food, when you eventually get to order it, is tasty and reasonably priced.

The falafel was clearly shop bought and not made fresh, chips was drenched in oil. The lamb "shawarma" was lamb mince - not at all what you would expect. The Turkish bread that came with it was also very synthetic and clearly not made fresh by the restaurant. Would never order again.
