Op zoek naar een betaalbaar en bijzonder hostel in Amsterdam? Kom naar Train Lodge! Tot een paar jaar geleden reden de slaaprijtuigen van de Train Lodge nog in de nachttrein Zürich – Rome. Omdat je er nog beter in slaapt wanneer ze stil staan kwamen wij op het idee van een “hostel on track”. We realiseerden ons hostel met behoud van de originele inrichting en uitstraling.

β β β β β I wasnβt sure how a stay here would go, as some reviews are pretty misleading. I had a wonderful time. Itβs a repurposed train car. Location is excellentβ an easy walk up the stairs to the train station. Cute little sitting area out front. Beds are cozy and warm. Restrooms are roomy.
Staff is friendly, fun, knowledgeable, etc.
Itβs one stop from the city center.. bike rental across the street, grocery a few blocks away.
Itβs a good experience, I would look forward to staying again.

β β β β β I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Train Lodge. The quirkiness is a lot of fun, the beds are comfy and the room temperature was great. We enjoyed some time in the bar, which was very reasonably priced! The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Only two slight negatives: 1. the rooms need individual locks, the current system of getting a staff member to lock up after you isn't ideal. 2. the sink in the room dripped during the night.
Overall, very happy with this place and I definitely plan to stay again.

β β β β β Cool hostel to pass the night. The bed is comfortable and you can have a good sleep without noise. Everything is clean, rooms and wc/shower. There is a bar and space enough to relax. The staff is super friendly and ready to help you. Is close by the station and you have also some place to eat.

β β β β β Super cozy venue with super nice staff! Thereβs some space in front of the train to hang out. Rooms are super small, but big enough to store all your belongings. Beds are quite comfy. Toilets and bathrooms were always clean.
Recommended for everyone whoβs looking for a great, yet super affordable stay in Amsterdam!
