Must Visit Visiting this place is a must if you have been to Amsterdam. The windmills are very beautiful & maintained. They charge a few Euros to visit the Mills from inside. The place is accessible to wheel chairs, kids friendly, have washrooms & restaurants. There is a bit of walking. There is a ferry tour to this place. Very beautiful place.

I think this is the best place to take photos in the whole Netherlands. Beautiful ?? . Why just 3 stars? The parking is expensive. 10 Euro even if you stopped for only 1 hour.

The part of Netherland that I missed the most. The blue blue sky and its calmness. I can sit there all day and feel extremely fine. I can understand why this place became the fave hideaway for artists and painters whenever they were stuck. Zaanse Schans is a neighborhood in the Dutch town of Zaandam, near Amsterdam. Historic windmills and distinctive green wooden houses were relocated here to recreate the look of an 18th/19th-century village. I love how they appreciate and take care of their historical buildings here. Museums are all around and the people value their culture and history so much. It is amazing how they kept the balance between modernization and the traditional value, and creating their own characters. Forgot to note the name of the place, but it is easy to find around Zaanse Schans; small cafes and shops around. I got waffles, marshmallow chocolate, hot choco, and I found a lot of Miffy or Nijntje. I will definitely be back here!

A must so, Amazing place where you can spend the whole day enjoying every single moment with Nature, Animals, experiences, buying souvenirs and light snacks, The windmills are are charming, Don’t miss it, it’s just like 40 to 50 minutes bus trip from Amsterdam centraal station, Free entrance and free experiences, but few are subject to affordable tickets, If you’re a nature and sunset lover then this is you’re place

Reach the outdoor park by train and local bus. Easy and fast from Amsterdam. Great place to spend half a day. Early morning is great as time past, the crowd gets more dense. The park offers some of the most beautiful photo spots in Holland. The village is truly beautiful. It is a living museum with many boutiques, food stands and places of interest. A must see when in Amsterdam.

It's a nice place to visit near Amsterdam. From Amsterdam Central it takes 18 mins by Sprinter and after that 10mins walk to reach Zaanse Schans. Since it is near water so it is preety cool so do take extra jacket and gloves even in the month of March. All mills can be covered in 45 to 60 mins. Charges to climb a windmill is very nominal around 5 euros as compare to Haarlem windmill where you need to spend more than 10 euros. Lots of souvenir shops. Do visit clogs factory. Neat and clean place. Easily accessible. 5/5
