Amstelhoeck is een uniek Grand Cafe gelegen aan de Amstel op een steenworp afstand van Rembrandtplein en de Nationale Opera & Ballet - Stopera. Amstelhoeck beschikt over een groot zonnig terras om heerlijk op te ontspannen met een drankje en een hapje met misschien wel het mooiste uitzicht van Amsterdam op de Munttoren. Geniet met mooi weer van een prachtige zonsondergang. Het terras is bij slecht weer gedeeltelijk overdekt en verwarmd.
In ons ruime restaurant aan de Amstel voelt iedereen zich thuis. Of je ons nu bezoekt met een grote groep (tot 250 personen), voor een zakelijke bespreking, voor het bezoek van het Nationale Opera en Ballet gebouw, of met vrienden langskomt, wij zijn er voor je op elk moment van de dag. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In my opinion is the worst service in town that I tried. One lady of the staff was incredible arrogant and rude with us. I also received a canteen full of dirt (not cleaned properly). The food is not so good and is expensive compared to what you get. The tiramisu is not even a tiramisu, they put some ladyfingers in a cup with some whipped cream over them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just want a tea with a pastry nata. The tea came very quick , but the pastry never came. We have asked twice for it and we got neglected !! Wait for more than 40 mins . Service is very bad !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there to watch two of the world cup games. The location was nice and comfortable. The beers are good and the price point was okay. We tried the fish and chips which is perfectly done. The only negative point is, the waiters are very slow to get the orders or hand over the receipt!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the worst burger I’ve had but definitely not the best. Fries tasted and felt as though they were made an hour ago and were just sitting out. Service is quick and they have an efficient way of calling for service through flipping a coloured light. Fairly expensive as my mediocre burger was 17,50 euro but the view from the patio is the Amstel river and would be nice during the summer for a beer or cocktail.

Not a must visit but if you are in the area of the Opera and you just had a nice walk into the flea market you can stop by for a beer and a sandwich. You will not regret that. Definitively recommended is the RAW burger sandwich which you can see in one of the pictures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place has a wonderful decor that set it apart from the rest of the places we tried on our trip.
We came right before the kitchen closed and ordered our food. Staff was happy to take our order as long as we could order within 10 minutes.
Service was fast, and the food was excellent. Our party ordered 2 burgers, 1 steak sucade steak, and the half chicken. Burger patties were bit more compressed than our liking, but otherwise all excellent. Steak was cooked medium rare as requested, with some fries that had a lovely crisp texture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is rather average unfortunately. The location is great, and the staff is efficient and courteous, even if not overly friendly. We were served fast, but the food was not up to our expectations. The goat cheese salad was too sweet, and the cheese was of rather low quality. Burger was ok but a bit soaking in fat and sauce unfortunately. A bit disappointing.
