We booked on booking.com. the photos had 8 ceiling to floor windows a meter wide, a lounge area and a bath tub. On arrival there was one .5 m window that looked directly into an abandoned office. The room was very dark. It had a couch but very different to the photos and no bath which we wanted to bathe our baby 3 months old I guess I could have sprayed him down with the shower mounted over head but he's fussy and hes very good at crying so decided against it. I went down stairs to ask to change rooms for one with a bath, they said none of the rooms have baths, then I showed them the photo of what I booked then they remembered that only 2 rooms had baths but they were booked. All very politely done. I said then the room isnt what I booked and I'd check with the family but we would want to check out. As it had only been 10 min since seeing the room I expected a refund as they couldn't provide what they had agreed. I went up stairs packed up the kids came down the get my refund and go to the next hotel. Then they found a room with a bath all of a sudden. I explained that you just told me you couldn't provide the room I was promised not even close and so we agreed I should book at another hotel which I had already done de van der volk hotel. Then they said we can't refund you the first night cause I checked in for less than 10 mins. I said that's not fair they said their manager will contact me, he did to say my bank account number was wrong, I sent the number again and have still not received a refund for either day or breakfasts or parking. The rooms are in a Regus office hire building which isn't very nice at all, the renovation isnt that great, the room we had was dark and not nice but I think that staff lied to which almost seemed a matter of protocol I find this pretty bad. We ended up staying at the van der volk hotel, it's really near by it was 20 euros more per night I think maybe even the same because they have free parking. We were in the standard room there it was a huge huge step up from our room at the best western, canal view large window, way bigger bed, amazing bath for two, resturaunt food and breakfast was really good cocktail bar I can only dream of visiting when the kids are older. They also have some rooms with private saunas, steam room and private jacuzzis I think for 50 euros more I think they were all booked for the weekend though. I'll change this to a 2 or 3 star review if you refund the money in the next 7 days. We can all have a bad day this for the best western in my opinion was a shocker. But you always deserve a chance to fix your mistakes. Refund, bottle of champagne if I stay at the best western again. I probably won't though but a gesture would be nice. Obviously if your reading this review then I didn't get the refund and it's unlikely to change. In which case van der volk should be your next Google search. Cheers

Room was very comfortable and clean, and the staff very friendly. Also it is amazing that you are allowed to bring your pet along. Would definitely recommend!

Nice hotel ! Beautiful room! Clean enough ! We came with three people but there where only towels for one person.. the staff is well behaved but not really kind ! I didn't feel very welcome. But overall they stay was great

Reception was not as friendly as it should be in fact very reserved. Informations were given very sparse. All information about the hotel had to be asked for e.g. breakfast times, parking and so on. Room was clean and nice. Noise was ok, you can gear the railway near by... Over all ok

Very nice and new hotel directly behind the train station. Good and clean rooms for a reasonable price and friendly and helpful staff. Felt welcome and recognized. The Breakfast is ok - you might get a better value for your money (16 €/Person) if you walk a bit in the city center and eat there. That I bought and already paid the Breakfast at check-in was not passed by to the staff member in the breakfast room, so I had discussions about that. I expect that this happens automatically.

The hotel room was spacious and absolutely beautiful with a great view. It’s in a great location in the city, only a 4 minute walk to the train station. A 25 minute tube commute from Amsterdam airport, really convenient! The service was sadly not to a great standard. The receptionist sounded slightly irritated, not so friendly. Their room service was quite poor- our bin got full and it took them a whole day to empty the bin (until then we didn’t have a bin to use). The tissues in the bathroom finished before the first night. We asked for our room to be cleaned but were told that due to COVID-19 they’re cleaning rooms every 4 days, didn’t quite make sense and wasn’t the best service.

The room was okay, but the kitchen appliances were dirty, the mini-fridge didn't even chill properly. We booked an apartment for a week. These types of rooms are cleaned on appointment. We called and booked a cleaning service, which would take place between 08:00 and 17:00. When we returned in the evening, we were locked out of the room with all our belongings still inside. When the reception sorted it out, we were welcomed by a dirty room. The next day the exact thing happened. The room was paid for in advance, and we would not get the remaining days refunded if we wanted to check out earlier. This was my first and also my last experience with this hotel.
