D	David Schmied on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amsterdam is an amazing place to rent a bike! Black bikes has great bikes and many locations. Locks are included and its free to return your bike at any of their locations! Be wary that the prices may be a bit higher than advertised. They only had "handbrake" bikes so we had to pay more. Also the 4.5 € mandatory insurance fee doesn't appear in any advertisements. I feel we still got good value for our money and I would definitely go back, I would just prefer if they were more honest.

I can say, that biking in Amsterdam is a little rough on either bike but for not the reasons you think. I actually found how 'busy' the streets were not to be a problem, but rather the actual function of the bikes. The handlebars are a bit awkward and there are no gears except on the tandem. I found out real quick (my first thirty seconds on the bike) to be careful of the light-rail grooves, as your bike wheel can easily fall/get locked into a groove. The locks are huge and heavy - which is a major detraction.

They said it was power outage, but every place in the area has power!!? I actually don't mind return a bike to a different location but the problem is all location close at 8 (I was going to return my bike at 8, luckily I need to stop at the hotel real quick and saw the closing sign) if I try to return the bike at closing time, I wouldn't make it to a different location and get charge another day (yup, the guys at other location, confirmed with me about additional charge)?!! FYI, I only rent from this location because its located next to my hotel and to return at a different location just inconvenient for a woman who travel solo.
S	Samuel Borg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a huge order for 14 people yet the shop owner was kind enough to serve us at his own pace. Very much appreciated. Service and quality of bikes is as good as you expect. Tip: bikes must only be returned to the same branch of Black Bikes.

M	Mansellos X on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A MUST DO IN AMSTERDAM. Store manager was very kind to giving us extra allowance for bike rental of 24hrs. Some bikes need fine tuning but wasn't a problem and was addressed easily. Just let the staff know. Thank you.
