Building: The hostel is easy to find and is recognisable by its striking colours. This colour theme is continued consistently inside and is based on Mondriaan's art. I personally dislike the choice of colours and think the hostel would have felt a lot more "premium" with a more restrained colour scheme, but these colours do succeed in giving the place a unique vibe. The location of course is very good, right in the city centre and close to the central station. Facilities: At the front desk there are computers with internet available as well as some food and beverages for sale. There is a lift, but there is a small staircase leading to the main floor where the lift is located. There might be a ramp or alternate route available for wheelchair access, though: I'm not sure. Service is very nice and personnel is friendly. Breakfast is served for a fee and is quite extensive for a hostel. There is a choice of breads, corn flakes etc., yoghurt, and boiled eggs and a microwave oven, coffee/tea/chocolate machine, and toaster are available as well. Rooms: As this is a hostel, rooms are very basic. Depending on the amount of people in a room, they come with bunk beds, a TV, lockers (bring your own padlock!), and a bathroom unit. The bathroom is roomy enough for one person without feeling crammed. The rooms are locked with keycards; this means you can have multiple keycards for your room. WiFi is available throughout the hotel and consists of a single, password-protected network. Guests etc. : Depending on the day of the week of your visit, you might encounter a group of adolescents who can be a little loud, but I personally have had no problems with noise during my two stays here. Sleeping and breakfast were quiet and relaxed even though the place was apparently almost fully booked. Verdict: I have stayed at Bud Get hostel Groningen twice now, and I have had a good experience both times. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay in Groningen for a short amount of time, I would definitely recommend this place.

Clean room and very friendly staff. All the staff I encountered spoke excellent English. The location is excellent and there are lots of food venues and some excellent bars. There is no laundry facility at the hostel but there is a laundrette five minutes walk away.

Nice breakfast and good service. The hostel is very central. Cold corridors when we were there in January but we were at least able to adjust the temperature inside our room. The bathroom in our 10 bed room consisted of a toilet, a small sink and a minimal shower, the bathroom was very small, like... 1,5 square meters maybe. Minimal. But every floor has one extra common toilet and one separate showerroom to share. Bring your own padlock, they have lockers in the rooms.

Clean and surprisingly cheap rooms in a good location right in the heart of the city. The staff is also friendly and the free Wi-Fi works fine. The reception is 247 so there is always a person for if you need something. Extension of checkout time (12:00 to 18:00) was just 30€ for a double room. Not bad at all! Numerous services (markets, smart shops etc.) nearby as well!

The hostel is super central and the rooms are nice for a short term stay. We did not book the breakfast so I can't say how that was. The shower is a bit like in a mobile home and if you touch the (kinda loose) lever just a bit the water becomes boiling hot! Thats just something to get used to. We had a great stay and the staff is very friendly and speaks many languages!

It’s well located. Bed and sheets are clean. The toilet and shower are quite small and very humid. It could use some extra protection for light in the room with some curtains. Breakfast is expensive.
