The rooms are small and the furniture is old. The bathroom is also not modern at all and is cleaned only once a day so it's quite dirty for the evenings. There is a 50 euro per person deposit that was not mentioned before though I don't really know what you could ruin in these rooms :D Otherwise the prices compared to Amsterdam's other places are low and the location is fantastic so if you just want to sleep somewhere, it's okay.

So i went in. No elevator. Steep stairs. I checked in at the 2nd floor (where the reception is) I had to instant pay 100 Euro for security deposit. And I couldnt even pay with my card. Btw the receptionists english wasnt good. Our room was like in the 4th floor. It was really hard to get up with those stairs. The room was very hot since it was closely to the roof. We also only had one small electro fan in the room, which was pretty loud and didnt do much. The tv needs to be controlled with 2 remotes. You cant lock the bathroom. You need to use warm and cold water mixing in the shower. I dont recommend

Rude receptionist/boss, the window wasn’t properly isolated (cold air coming in), the room was originally a 4 bedroom but they added another bed (it looked different and the position seemed improvised) so the room was very small, the bathroom was not lockable, but we’re 5 people. After all we asked very kindly for another room but they didn’t care. We DONT recommend.

Stayed here recently for 2 nights, instantly regretted it when I saw the room. Heating was never on and room was like a freezer the whole time, dirty room and bathroom, a friend of mine was covered in bed bug bites and I sustained a few too. Its definitely one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed in. I advise you to look elsewhere and don’t stay here, couldn't move hotel as was limited on cash.

Rude reception, very inflexible. We had one of our party check in later and they didn’t tell him to leave the key. When we arrived back seperately they refused to let us in the room. Despite the room being fully booked by our group. The deposit is 250 euro when you arrive, which I had no notice of(having already paid in full and given my card details). Here is one shower and one separate toilet for a whole floor. The place is tidy and a good location, BUT WOULD NOT RECOMMEND due to the service.

Great location, filthy rooms with terrible smell. They also charge deposit of 150 euro upon arrival without saying in advance. Uncomfortable beds which they neither clean nor change sheets based on the stains on them. The shower looks like you shouldn't walk there bare foot. They also don't change towels from check in to check out. Just avoid at all costs. Not worth the cheaper price.

Stayed in the 8-bed room on the first floor with a few other friends. Would not recommend. The staff was quite friendly and there was someone at the reception 24/7, but otherwise the hotel was not a great experience. There was no private bathroom, only a bathroom with a toilet and a separate toilet shared with 4 other rooms. You often had to wait to shower and the floor was always wet. It had automatic lights that turned off every 10 seconds so you would have to wave your hand constantly. The towel dispenser did not work. Things like stained curtains, crumbling wall paint and water stains on the ceiling really lowered the comfort level. There wasn't even a mirror in the room. The girls had to put on makeup in front of the mirror in the stairwell since we didn't want to be in the bathroom longer than necessary. For us, aspects like the steep stairs, a TV that didn't work or loud surroundings (since the hotel is very central, which is positive) didn't bother us at all. If you are a light sleeper, I would consider the bright advertisement screen across the hotel and loudness from nearby clubs/bars. For young people, the location is ideal, but drinking is not allowed. A deposit of 50€ per person must be made (only cash or credit).

Very friendly staff. Price / quality wise it was a perfect deal. Close to a hotspot in Amsterdam. It's a perfect hotel to stay at one or two nights. Yes the hotel and the building are quite old but the room, bed and bathroom were fine. If I play in a club again I'll definitely go here again
