★ ★ ★ ★ ★ one star because I can't give a zero.
we went to renew our passports. The guard and personnel were outstandingly rude. There was no explanation about the different queues and they just kept on shouting out names in what seemed random order. When it was my partner's turn they said he wasn't registered at the consulate although he has been since 2015. Unfortunately he forgot his Id there and although we called several times we never even managed to speak with anyone.
I worry the day we have an emergency we'll just get hung up.
Fast forward a few months as we start the process to get married and it's impossible to get any clarity.
We've been calling for months and we literally get hang up on. When we finally manage to speak with someone they tell us to call back in two weeks because the responsible person is on holidays. We've been given this excuse twice already. The third time the responder pretended to change his voice ? They've actually misinformed us with contradicting information against the Spanish court.
Don't expect anything from them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am trying to reach anyone by phone for longer than a week and it is not possible, they just do not pick up the phone. I decided to sent an email and still I din't get an answer. I sent a copy of that email to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and even they are asking to reply my email but still not answer yet.
They are fixing Spanish lesson for Spanish citizen, but I believe they have to learn proper Spanish; appointment in Spanish is wrote “cita”, and not “sita” as de write in their posters.
You only don’t have to pay for any photocopy or picture, you won’t get any change from that machine, so if you only have to pay 10 cents but you only got 1€, you lost that euro my friend, I believe in Spain that is described as “abusive conditions”.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience ever. A shame that my country provides this horrible service to its people. I better give up the Spanish nationality at this point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I needed an N.I.E nummer. After having been there at the door, I was refused entry because I was supposed to book online for the appointament .So I went home to do it, and the booking tool on their webside did NOT work at all.It is an urgent matter and their organization is terribile, so, after 3 dsys I cannot even book a date for an appointament.
Disgusted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Useless consulate (and embassy). Almost makes me regret I am Spanish. So unbelievably unprofessional, and the worst part is, nothing will change regardless of the countless negative remarks.
Requested a simple document that can be drafted in less than 10 minutes. No one cared to help. I don’t even know why they work there. I would ask a question and get an answer talking about something completely different.
They BARELY answer the phone, usually 1 time out of 10-15 calls I get an answer. Fix your management, you are pathetic. What a shame, this is not how you’re supposed to represent a country.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 19 calls and counting… i am starting to realize they are not going to pick up. Neither they answer emails. So which options are there left if you need an appointment? Their “service” is outrageous. I have to give a star, but zero reflects a lot better how i feel, and what they do.
