★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr tolle Unterkunft mit einer sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Gastgeberin! Zimmer ist groß und enthält alles was man für einen Kurztrip benötigt (City map etc.)
Jeden morgen frisches Brot und ein umfangreiches Frühstück.
Sehr zu empfehlen!
Very great accommodation with a very friendly and courteous hostess! Room is large and contains everything you need for a short trip (city map etc.)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een super goede bed and breakfast, zeker voor de prijs! Je zit op een mooie locatie en je hebt bijna een hele verdieping voor jezelf. Alles is aanwezig van badkamer tot keuken en natuurlijk een (ruime) slaapkamer! Vriendelijke gastvrouw en algemeen zeker een aanrader :) alleen voor mensen die niet goed trappen kunnen lopen is deze locatie niet geschikt. Er zijn veel trappen.
A super good bed and breakfast, especially for the price! You are in a beautiful location and you have almost an entire floor to yourself. Everything is there from bathroom to kitchen and of course a (spacious) bedroom! Friendly hostess and generally recommended :) only for people who can not walk stairs well, this location is not suitable. There are many stairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ [DE] Emma's B&B ist eine sehr gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit, wenn man Amsterdam erkunden will. Es liegt 5 Min. zu Fuß von der Tram-Haltestelle Cornelis Schuytstraat entfernt, an welcher die Tram 2 hält, welche u.a. direkt zum Museumsplein und Amsterdam Centraal fährt! Der schöne Vondelpark ist zu Fuß nur 2 Minuten entfernt.
Das Haus ist typisch für Amsterdam: Die Treppen sind lang, eng und steil, die Decken sind schräg, weil die Fundamente einsacken, die Fenster sind alt/undicht und das WC verdammt klein. Alles zusammen ergibt einen unvergleichlichen Amsterdam-Flair, wie man ihn im generischen Hotel sicher verpassen würde.
Ich bin gespannt wie es nach der Renovierung aussehen wird!
Die Zahlung ist nur bar (cash) direkt vor Ort möglich.
[ENG] Emma's B&B is a great place to stay, when you want to explore Amsterdam. It is located 5 minutes away from the tram-stop Cornelius Schuytstraat, where the line 2 takes you directly to Museumsplein and Amsterdam Centraal! The Vondelpark is just 2 minutes away.
The house is typical for Amsterdam: The stairs are long, narrow and step, the ceiling is at an angle, because the foundation is slowly sinking, the windows are old/leaky and the toilet is really narrow as well. Everything combines to the typical Amsterdam-flair, which would not be sensible in an ordinary hotel.
I am curious how it will look like after the renovation!
It is only possible to pay in cash on site.

The house is typical for Amsterdam: the stairs are long, narrow and steep, the ceilings are sloping because the foundations are sagging, the windows are old / leaky and the toilet is damn small. It all adds up to an incomparable Amsterdam flair that you would surely miss in a generic hotel.
