★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking from the nearby Hilton there are options for dinner to be sure. Carter offers something a bit different, better and balanced. You can crowd into the bar for craft cocktail, a glass of wine, or a better than decent beer from their standard or rotating selection of local standards and select craft.
The menu claims modern french and offers vegan or hearty meat dishes in small plates, full entrees, shared selections, and 3 course chef creations. It can be crowded but there a rainy Sunday night is a great time for a casual meal or fine cocktail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good, the whole rotisserie chicken was delicious - we picked every picked to the bone! Fries are from frietsboutique. Service was a little slow as there were many people, but overall staff were friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An odd place in Amsterdam zuid narrow street were traffic still needs to pass. Great staff helpful and nice. Food is good as could be expected. Busy place for Thursday dining. Not to far from Vondel park if you like a walk after dinner. The late summer evening kept us from going inside therefore we enjoyed outdoor dining only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice cosy french bistro. The food was excellent. We had the beef tartar and the buratta to share for starters. For mains we have the fish and the duck. Service was good and attentive, reasonably priced for the quality of food. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bar is phenomenal! We had a surprise drink from the barkeeper (the one on the photo) and a Singapore sling which is also not is also not included in the regular menu. Both were absolutely amazing.
