About Meneer Frans
Meneer Frans siert sinds de lente van 2014 hartje Haarlem met een trendy horeca gelegenheid. Een shop-in-shop in het monumentale Van Duivenboden pand, met Sport ‘N Styles als goede buur. De inrichting eigentijds, elke ruimte anders. Een industriële mannelijke look in de serre, een binnentuin met knus terras en zonnige hippe loungeplekken én een damesachtige roze kamer met een knipoog naar de 18e eeuw, grenzend aan het Klein Heiligland.
Voor (door)werkend Haarlem is er de gelegenheid tot vergaderen of het reserveren van een private dinner in een chique à la Van Duivenboden ingerichte ruimte. De menukaart divers, met ontbijtgerechten, huisgemaakte taarten, salades, Flammkuchen uit de Elzas en andere hartige biologische lekkernijen. Open tijdens de reguliere winkel-openingstijden, maar ook te huur voor (besloten) partijen en feesten.
Meneer Frans beschikt over een heerlijke binnentuin met een ruim opgezet terras, waar je van vroeg in de lente tot laat in de herfst kunt genieten van koffie, ontbijt, lunch en/of uitgebreide borrel. Zelfs op regenachtige dagen zit je hier comfortabel onder grote parasols met terrasverwarming. Een glaasje wijn, een biertje, een waterig zonnetje; genieten bij Meneer Frans!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little bit hidden, but has a very stylish interior. Had lunch sitting outside in the sun. Menu is varied with a decent amount of options. The food tasted and looked pretty good. Service was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend if you are nearby!

The service however was below expectations; items were forgotten, plates not renewed between the salty and the sweet dishes, scones not baked and came without jam, and another few things. If/when they're on top of their service it'd definitely be 4½ stars!
