We ordered Sushi and it was disappointing.
The rice was undercooked and hard. It is such a basic & the most important part of the dish. I still can't believe it's made by professional. Too disappointed.

It’s one of the best place to eat Japanese food. Fresh ingredients, very satisfied! Takes a while until you get your dish, but other than that it was perfect :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One word. Fantastic! Had an great 3 course dinner. Everything was fresh made and tasted amazing! Beforehand the staff asks what you like, don’t like and if they have to be aware of your allergies. Just tell them what you desire and you will be amazed! MUST VISIT?

Their products match or even exceed their reviews, impressive.
Forget about Sushi Time or Sushi Point or whatever Sushi joint you know in Haarlem.
Konomi is the place to go!
Just help them remember to put the chopsticks into your take-away bag ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time i went here for dinner was during Haarlem Jazz Festival this year. I was blown away how delicious their sushi’s were - fresh quality, lovely presentation, perfect combination of flavors and the service was nice. I like small places but here the tables are placed quite close next to each other that the other customer almost knocked out stuff from my table while taking off her jacket. Now yesterday i came back for lunch. I noticed the place was quite dark, the entrance door and windows are the only source of natural light. This time the sushi’s were of less quality - the rice was dry, the rest (flavors and presentation, the softshell crab) were still good but for this price it’s disappointing. The cocktail tasted good. The service was ok. While paying i told them what I thought of the food. Hopefully they do something about it. I’ll come back again some other time to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner is very rude and not customer oriented at all. Rest of the staff is friendly. Charged us double the price of the sashimi boat because apparently the price on the menu is per person (doesn't say so on the menu which the owner acknowledged). All we got was a sarcastic 'sorry for the confusion'. Unfortunately they also charged us for asking extra wasabi, in a sushi restaurant...
Nevertheless the food was quite good and the vibe of the restaurant was nice.
Hopefully they can improve on service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heaven is a place on the Gedempte Oude Gracht 101. Had a surprise menu every time, and every time it was a surprise! The quality of the food is amazing! The tast of the food is out of this world! The staff is always friendly and amazing.
