Dit rijksmonument kent een rijke historie: zo sliepen hier in 1895 Koningin-moeder Emma met het jonge prinsesje Wilhelmina. Ons ontbijt is nog altijd koninklijk: met bubbels, zalm, Limburgse vlaai én prachtig uitzicht over het heuvellandschap.

M	M Barbara on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haben dort zwei Nächte verbracht, inkl. Frühstück und HP. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Sogar Sekt zum Frühstück, für diejenigen, die das am frühen Morgen brauchen ? Das Abendessen wurde a la Carte serviert. Veganer oder Vegetarier werden es hier schwer haben, da die Speisenauswahl mit 4 Vor- Haupt- und Nachspeisen begrenzt ist. Das Essen geschmacklich sehr gut. Sogar frischer Hummer wird gegen Zuzahlung angeboten. Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad sieht nicht schön aus. Man muss sich auf kaputte Fliesen oder ein geplatztes Waschbecken einstellen. Das war wohl in mehreren Zimmern der Fall. Die Betten sind allerdings sehr bequem. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der 1. Etage, direkt gegenüber zum Schwimmbad Eingang. Das Hotel ist sehr verschachtelt. Wir haben uns einige Male ziemlich verlaufen. Wir hätten uns eine bessere Ausschilderung gewünscht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, allerdings spricht man dort kaum deutsch. Parkplätze sind am Hotel genügend vorhanden und sind kostenfrei. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße und bis ins Stadtzentrum sind es 900 Meter, bis zum geulpark ca. 800 Meter. Alles in allem ein schöner Urlaub. Spent two nights there, including breakfast and half board. The breakfast was excellent. Everything is there what your heart desires. Even sparkling wine for breakfast for those who need it early in the morning ? Dinner was served a la carte. Vegans or vegetarians will have a hard time here, as the choice of dishes is limited to 4 starters, main courses and desserts. The food tasted very good. Even fresh lobster is offered for an extra charge. The hotel is very old. The bathroom doesn't look nice. You have to be prepared for broken tiles or a burst sink. That was probably the case in several rooms. However, the beds are very comfortable. We had a room on the 1st floor, directly across from the pool entrance. The hotel is very nested. We got pretty lost a few times. We would have liked better signage. The staff was very friendly, but they hardly speak German there. There are enough parking spaces at the hotel and they are free of charge. The hotel is located directly on the main street and is 900 meters from the city center and 800 meters from geulpark. All in all a nice holiday.

Het is een oud slecht onderhouden hotel (met muffe luchtjes) De foto`s van de kamers doen anders vermoeden, maar ik heb in betere hostels geslapen. Zo spoot een gaatje in de douchekop de hele badkamer door. Plafond van hout met een loszittende radiator boven je bed is ook altijd fijn. Personeel niets op aan te merken, alleen de bieding in het restaurant kan beter. 5 x het eten naar een verkeerde tafel brengen is wat veel. Al met al een beetje teleurstellend en dit hotel slaan we de volgende keer over als we naar Valkenburg gaan. For the amount we had to pay it was very disappointing. It is an old poorly maintained hotel (with musty smells) The pictures of the rooms suggest otherwise, but I have slept in better hostels. For example, a hole in the shower head sprayed all over the bathroom. A wooden ceiling with a loose radiator above your bed is always nice. Staff nothing to criticize, only the offer in the restaurant could be better. 5 x bringing the food to the wrong table is a bit much. All in all a bit disappointing and we will skip this hotel next time we go to Valkenburg.

B	Ben Sestig on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel looks amazing, (most of) the staff is really friendly and the breakfast is decent, but it’s in no way worth the price. I had to open the window and leave the bathroom ventilator on all day to get rid of the stank. Paid for a parking spot, only to find the whole parking to be fully occupied. We were asked to park downstairs instead. Surprisingly the place can remain to exist.
N	No Nonsense on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dated room but spacious. Location was perfect. Free parking. Indeed, bed is soft. If asked for higher floor, there will be extra cost of 20 eur.
