β β β β β Spent my birthday here with my husband. The hotel is beautiful with a bit of vintage look added. The room was a bit small but very cozy. The bathroom had great space and the automatic lighting was very handy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gym is a plus and of course the smart controlling of the room. (Chrome cast did not connect unfortunately) However the breakfast was a big turn off(see pics). We have been to other hotels during the lockdown and we were very impressed so there is no excuse for this breakfast especially due to the fact that it was mandatory to eat in the room. Hopefully they can improve their breakfast and earn their 5 star review.

β β β β β Second time we stayed here during our short trip to Amsterdam. Great design, lovely rooms, convenient parking, very close to metro station. The only downfalls for us is the fact that there is no complimentary water offered in the room which is standard for most hotels of this level and price range and that although we had booked our breakfast at 9:15 (covid rules) when we got there it was very hard to find a table and staff working at breakfast seemed to be annoyed when we asked them politely if they could help us find a table. There is no point really to book people at certain times when nobody checks how long the guests spent at breakfast (should be 45β apparently but nobody was following this rule). Breakfast itself was ok, but the yogurt machine was empty when we were there and nobody bothered to fill it up at least until the time we left. Same thing happened to one of the coffee machines. Lets blame it on busy times however and hope that this was just a bad coincidence. I would still come back though but maybe next time choose to go elsewhere for breakfast if this policy continues..

β β β β β We came into the restaurant and were assigned a table at the entrance. we asked for another table which was not finished cleaned. This was partially cleared reluctantly and after 20 minutes we had to ask if we could order something. we ordered a starter and a main course. the appetizer was placed on the table without cutlery or serviette. After 10 minutes we asked if we could have cutlery and plates. they were brought to us with the statement that we were a bit bossy ????. Then our steak came, lukewarm and we didn't ask if we wanted it well done or medium. totally disrespectful and absolutely bad service. The Dutch next door laughed at a statement the service made about us. something with the Germans or something.
I felt racist because I was a German guest. Our table wasn't cleared and we sat in front of empty plates for 25 minutes.
To pay we had to go to the counter to be served. beware of this service !!!!

β β β β β This hotel is GREAT! The staff is helpful & kind. The rooms are spacious & clean. I was able to control the lighting, shades, TV, etc from a panel in my room. So techy! Keep in mind this is a cashless hotel.
I would stay here again.

β β β β β This hotel suffers from form over function. And when things can go wrong, they will go seriously wrong. That, mainly, because the hotel does not have enough eye for care and detail.
Re form & function: youβre supposed to operate everything in the room by a central touchscreen panel that is fixed to a wall. Not practical. I paid for an upgrade and got a, really nice, corner room. Unfortunately I discovered late at night that the blinds (electronically operated) did not close properly. Also some lights didnβt work and the AC was noisy and could not be turned off.
The night staff did offer an alternative room to sleep, but I didnβt want to go through the hassle of grabbing things and move. My choice. The next morning desk staff just plainly told me there was nothing the hotel would do for me.
A complaint by email led to a fast response: I would get a refund for the upgrade and I would be offered a new room. But to my surprise, I got a much smaller room in exchange. Not great, imo.
To make things worse, in the first new room, the electrical curtains also didn't work. Sigh. Back to reception. Got a third room. In technical terms that (also small) room mostly worked. (Only malfunction was that the motion sensor in the bathroom didnβt work properly, with lights staying on.)
What was worse, though, was that the bathroom was not clean, as in there was a nasty looking smear on the toilet seat.
One more example is the gym. In itself great that they have one. To get the lights working, you have to insert your own keycard. When you workout, that card is out of your sight, didnβt feel very safe to me. Also, the gym was not clean, with a disgusting, saliva traces laced touchscreen on the treadmill.
The manager took time to listen carefully to my experiences and offered sufficient compensation. The chance that I will visit a Postillion Hotel anytime soon is very, very slim.
Based on my experience, Iβd say: avoid this hotel, despite all the efforts by the friendly staff to make things work.

β β β β β One of the best hotels I've been in my life! Extremely friendly staff, free parking, but be careful with the time since the later you get there the chances of having no parking spots left is high! Very high tech rooms, with all the controls available from a touch screen near the bed, nice shower, very clean, nice bar, good food and very beautiful architecture, there's also a metro station around 500 meters from it, since it's almost impossible to park in the downtown it's a good option to use it.

β β β β β Postillion offers a great location, comfortable rooms, good service and modern facilities. The ambience and overall experience was pleasant.
However, it is important to mention that they do not offer the best cleaning services. Our rooms were never cleaned unless we personally told the front desk and when they were, it wasnβt done well.
