Excellent service at this small sandwich spot nestled in the Jordaan. Although a bit messy, one of their signature sandwiches “broodje Jordaan” is deliciously overloaded with bacon and well-priced. Would recommend getting the standard size, the large is unwieldy.

The bacon is amazeballs, the sandwich exquisite, but the owner is maybe the best thing about this place. Such passion, energy and pride for what he’s doing topped off with kindness and friendly hospitality. Ditch McDonalds, KFC, Subway all of that rubbish and help save the gems of this city. You’re amazing Mr Smokey Crispy Bacon Sandwich Man!

A must try spot in Jordaan! Food is fresh and incredibly affordable. The owner is so kind and genuinely happy to be serving up delicious crispy bacon that he smokes himself every morning. Looking forward to coming back on Sunday for their mimosa brunch specials!

Extremely impolite staff. The woman there is passive aggressive and very impatient. She even once scolded a customer in front of me for asking a simple question. I used to go there for a bite every now and then, but after receiving unfriendly service on multiple occasions, I've had enough. Food aside, if you can't be polite, mannered and hospitable to your customers, which are the lifeline of your business, then maybe you shouldn't be working in such a sector.

A MUST VISIT !!! The food is wonderful - locally sourced bacon direct from a nearby farm and smoked that day, combined with homemade mayo make this the best BLT I’ve ever had - but the star of the show is the owner, Handsome (yes - thats his name !!). As genuine as it gets and cares just as much about ensuring you have a great time as he does about the quality of his food.

Very traditional shop which happens to have some awesome bacon sandwiches!! Give it a go, you won't regret it. It will make you a super meal for less than 5€.

As the name would suggest this is a bacon lover's paradise. This gem of a sandwich shop is located in Tweede Tuindwarstraat, a street and an area in the Jordaan which with its massive explosion of restaurants, cafés, sandwich shops and dining establishments, has been transformed into one of the city's premier culinary hotspots. Approaching the front door, you are greeted with the delicious smell of locally sourced bacon which has been hand smoked on beechwood by the shop's owner. Renowned for his award winning sandwiches, he is justifiably proud of his efforts and loves nothing more than explaining the process to his clients. Due to the fact that buildings in Amsterdam were previously taxed according to their width, the shop is long and narrow divided in the middle by a glass display counter. There is only space for 2 or 3 persons at a time and there is often a queue stretching out into the street. The wait is worth it. A huge platter of smoked bacon adorns the front window and there is a huge selection of mouth-watering sandwiches, many of which are available in king size versions. These are generously packed to the brim and served on a choice of white or brown bread prepared on a base of butter, truffle mayonnaise or other preferred ingredients. The smoked ribeye is superb, as well as a wide variety of cheese, salads, pate, meatballs, pickled meats, salami and smoked sausage, served hot and cold. Fish lovers and vegans are also catered for. Prices are extremely reasonable and there are few other sandwich shops which can match the quantity and quality

Nice sandwich shop. Their highlight is the crispy bacon. I tried the Sandwich Jordaan and was really good.
