Don’t come here in the summer unless you’re planning on being out all day! There is no ventilation or air conditioning in the rooms except a tiny cabin hole facing upwards onto the deck which lets in direct sunlight, smoke and noise from other guests. INCREDIBLY humid, impossible to sleep at night due to the lack of air flow - furthermore the other guests were disturbingly noisy, there are no ‘quiet’ hours, woken up multiple times during our stay by rowdy youths coming back intoxicated during the night at around 4am in the morning. The wifi DOES NOT work. Toilet paper can’t be flushed down the toilet and instead has to be binned - but there is no room service during your stay so this must be emptied yourself into a public bin elsewhere. This is hostel accommodation ran by youths for other youths. On the plus side - the owners are very sweet, the boat is decorated beautifully and you’re able to chill on deck. Gorgeous night time views. The location is a 15 min walk from the train station and right in the centre of Amsterdam. Couldn’t get any close than this! Lovely idea however definitely not suitable for everyone. Would recommend introducing quiet hours, better air ventilation/air conditioning and blinds. And WiFi!

We used booking to make our reservation and asked for an early check-in, which was confirmed by the website and we later received the details to check-in by ourselves. We arrived and no check-in was possible, made us wait 1h at 7 a.m. to finally say "We have 2730 nights per month - the messages we receive from booking don’t always come through." He also denied that the booking was confirmed, even when I showed all the emails received. Really poor, poor service. The man that assisted us on sight even spoke trash about us in another language (too bad it was my language). The general manager was RUDE, IRONIC and lied several times throughout the conversation!! Not recommend AT ALL. Already saw too many critics about this booking organisation.

Nice experience on botel. It was clean, no feeling of the swinging boat or so, very close to city center, the check in guy was nice. -Earplugs are the must, because cabins are not soundproof and you can hear not only a non stop air ventilator in the bathroom, but also other guests in their cabins. -Our cabin (room 3) was very small, during the evening was super hot (the end of October), so we had to open half the little roof window. -Breakfast was ok, but the girl, who serves BB, starts to play music very loud once BB starts. -first night (~9pm) the fire alarm went on and has been turned off soon. At front desk i've been told that it happens often because fire alarms are very sensitive. Didn't happen again though. -overall the staff seems a bit annoyed and don't like to be interrupted. Also, it was not so easy to understand who is working on the boat and who is just hanging around(?)

I couldn’t sleep in the whole night because of the noise of the bath, anyway, I’m giving 4/5 stars because of the dog (huge and lovely one), the views, the nice Italian guy and his partner Pedro.

The worst accommodation I've ever experienced! If you want to sleep at night, don´t book it. However the location is excellent ..

The boat is really pretty and close to the Nemo museum and the Oba library The cabins are very small and the space is limited and hard to organise The staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is a good addition Recommended for adventurous souls

Not expensive, really nice staff and good location but that's it. The room was very small and wet. Water has dripped onto our bed the whole day and night and the floor was soaking wet. I think it was condensation water. We couldn't open any window and you are not allowed to throw toilet paper in the toilet which is also not very convenient. The breakfast is not bad but it doesn't include a big variation of food and there was moldy bread on one day. It didn't cost much but I wouldn't go there again.

Breakfast is very basic. Staff is okay. However when we arrived there was hair from other customers all over the shower. We couldn't regulate the heat in our room so every morning water was dripping down from the ceiling due to condensation. You're not supposed to throw the toilet paper in the toilet which is okay. But at the door it says the staff will empty the bins for the toilet paper daily which didn't happen once during our three day stay. The shower curtain was filled with black mold. To sum this up: the hostel is not cheap enough to accept these conditions. Some of the Fotos are definitely not up to date. Maybe the owner changed.
