★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Deze voormalige watertoren is een Rijksmonument. 33 meter hoog. Heeft dezelfde architect als de watertoren van Woerden. Maar geen Rijksmonument. Nederland is nog rijk aan watertorens. Soms nog net in gebruik, soms bewoond en soms staan ze leeg. Wat me opvalt is dat ze eigenlijk allemaal verschillend zijn. Soms zelfs hele grote verschillen. Net als geen kerk hetzelfde is, is geen toren dat. Naast de gemeentelijke watertoren waren er ook fabrieks watertorens. Zoals langs de Vest die van voormalig plateelfabriek Plazuid. Dit is nu een Rijksmonument.
