Al sinds 1978 is Casa di Papi, voorheen Papihuis, bekend onder vele Haarlemmers. Vooral om de heerlijke pizza's die met veel liefde en passie bereid worden. Sinds juli 2017 is Papihuis overgenomen en gaat verder onder de naam Casa di Papi. Maar met dezelfde liefde en passie voor het eten en het vertrouwde pizza recept, want zeg nou zelf: waarom iets aanpassen wat zo razend populair is?
Door de persoonlijke aandacht van ons personeel hangt er een familiaire en warme sfeer.
Casa di Papi is een echt familie restaurant, gerund door Tony en zijn vrouw Linda. De chef kok is speciaal ingevlogen uit Napels voor de traditioneel Italiaanse gerechten, Itialaanser dan dit kan het niet.
Bij Casa di Papi kunt u terecht voor een heerlijke pizza met een echt Italiaans biertje, maar ook voor een heerlijk uitgebreid traditioneel Italiaans diner met speciaal geselecteerde Italiaanse wijnen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In hope for a romantic evening I’ve ordered vegetable antipasti ‘for two’ for 24 euro yesterday. The delivered dish is attached in a photo - messy pile of 3 slices of 3 vegetables with some ruccola. Completely not worth the money spent. Unfortunately the delivery service can’t refund it, but beware - the volume of the dishes is not matching the price tag.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there like a month ago and had a very lovely experience there. This cozy place is located in the city center of Harlem. Both the starters and the main courses, our pizzas were really delicious, and they did not cost a lot at all. The staff, especially Leonardo were super friendly to us.

We ordered the antipasto di Papi Fredo and bruschetta.
(Ordered through Uber eats).
The meat (cold cuts) on the platter was definetly not fresh. Most of it was discolored, especially around the edges, and was hardening and starting to curl up (not like regular cured/dried mest but actually getting "crispy" and brown.
This was especially clear on the mortadella as show in the picture.
On top of that, the mozzarella in the middle "exploded" so there was mozzarella juice literally all over (the restaurant said it was probably due to the delivery)
The rocket underneath was mushy and slimy.
The bread for the bruschetta also tasted old en chewy.
Called the restaurant but they said the chef cut the meat today (sure, but probably in the morning and left it inproperly wrapped).Basically telling me there could not be anything wrong with it. Also had to explain several times the meat was OLD not COLD ("yes, but it's supposed to be cold...")
They said they could not do anything about it and could not take it back, since there was no delivery person available.
I could however bring the dish over myself ?♀️ (which I would have galdly done if I would have been able). Their advice: complain with Uber and get a refund from them.
I seriously hate wasting food, especially meat, but the entire platter ended up in the trash.
Soooo....that's my friday evening datenight surprise ruined. Awesome.
Definetly not gonna order here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the most amazing authentic Italian experience I ever had! The pizza was an amazing 10 out of 10!! Will be back for sure! From the environment, to the people and the food, I can totally understand why they receive so many awards!
