★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice spot by the river with a view of the church further down. On a nice day this really makes everything. However the food was not good and way too pricy for what we got. Paying for the location I guess. I would recommend the location but not the restaurant

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sat outside here after a visit to Anne Frank House and had a lovely view of the boats going up and down the canal and it wasn't as crowded as on the the other side of the canal where the museum was. (October)
Some of our group had pancakes which were cheaper than the pancake house next to Anne Frank House and they had a good choice of fillings too. The brownies are good too.
Great place to sit and watch the world go by and watch the pigeons swoop in to the tables and chairs as soon as people leave their tables to eat up the leftovers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know how everyone had such a nice experience here. The staff was incredibly rude.
It took at least 20 minutes until he took our order, then 40 minutes until we received our toasties & he seemed annoyed that he had to bring it at all. Meanwhile everyone around us, who arrived/ordered after us, received their orders first.
The tea we ordered never arrived in the first place. The toastie was okay but nothing to wait that long for.
All in all a terrible experience, the only upside was the location and the great weather.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sandwiches were priced nicely but the waiter was fairly rude to us. He was very impatient, pushy and even refused to give us tap water until he realized we wouldn’t get any other drinks. Wouldn’t go here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This café was such nice surprise. Fantastic location, near to Anne Frank's house. Generous portions, delicious salmon sandwich, decent prices and very friendly staff en service. I high recommend this place in Amsterdam. Definitely to go back again.
