Welcome at Fyrre

Fyrre (pronounced ‘Firre’) is both an oyster-, wine- and seafoodbar

In lively eastern Amsterdam we serve our daily changing menu of fresh oysters

Next to our oysters we serve a seasonal menu of modern seafood dishes using mainly locally caught produce

We take pride in telling you about our wine menu. At Fyrre we always serve over 30 wines and bubbles by the glass.

Next to our inside seating area we also have a big sunny terrace to enjoy our dishes

Loved the place. The menu was pretty simple but delicious. It's a small fish shack and if you just wants a laid back day with good wine and good food. Definitely recommend.

5/5, I am surprised this restaurant isn’t packed every evening. Great flavors, service and quality. I’d recommend to give it a shot. You’ll realize that you should have tried it earlier.

From the outside Fyrre might look small, but there is more space than you expect. I had the Salmon Tataki as a starter, which was delicious. As a main I had the fish and chips. The portion was smaller than you would expect from fish and chips, but the fish was amazing. Not your usual plain white fish. The Thai Muscles are absolutely to die for! Deff worth a shot!

Excellent oysters and fish soup. Mussels were small even though it’s the season and they were not cooked with a lot of flavour. Polenta fries didn’t taste like polenta. The rest of the dishes were not memorable. Good wine selection and everything available by the glass which can be fun to try a few. Unfortunately, the service was not very hospitable or informed about what they were serving. Also, all the small plates were brought out at once - this was not enjoyable and couldn’t even fit on the table properly (I don’t recall if we were asked a preference but this should be advised against). Overall, we thought it was fine but the price vs. quality/service ratio was off.

Lovely food, wonderful cocktails and wine, cozy place. We rode over to this restaurant because it was close to home. We were not disappointed all night. The service was very attentive. Wine list is diverse with many bio and raw wines. Cocktails are hand crafted and made well. Menu is small, but works very well for trying a variety of dishes. We ordered cocktails, 1 bottle of bio-dynamic wine and a glass of red. For starters we had: Mackerel - jalapeno, lime, cucumber, green pepper and mezcal - this was very unique and delicious - the jalapeno makes this dish by balancing the sweet mackerel. Cucumbersalad with sea vegetables, sesame and ponzu - fresh, crunchy and sweet salty balance. My favorite sea veggie - samphire - was included...this is typically a rare ingredient and it was a good complement to the more subtle cucumber. Our Mains: Classic mussels - white wine, carrot, celery and fresh herbs (2 orders) with fries and mayo - so delicious. Again a perfect balance of sweet and salty in the mussels and probably the best fries we've ever had some crunchy bits but mostly crunchy on outside and soft on inside. Perfect. Catch of the day - forgot what fish this was, but it was lovely and the veggies and sauces were completely complementary. Very fresh, simple ingredients make for a wonderful meal. This is a neighborhood gem and hope it remains cozy and manageable. Prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommended!

This is why you go out and eat. To eat food that is delicious and a normal human being would never make at home. Delicious flavours that have been carefully constructed by the chef. And the Oysters.... wow. The Irish ones were so smooth! The place is small and cozy. Sitting outside right now is an extra bonus with their large (temporary?) terrace! You will not be disappointed. Great taste, great service, reasonably priced!
