A	Anthony Rosado on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was top notch. The space was quite pristine and well kept, clean and fresh linens. Breakfast was filling and quite devine. Bach playing while dining was refreshing. Location was ideal for tram travel anywhere in the city. A must saved location to return to.
m	mike van betuw on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel during a week-long trip to Amsterdam. In general, the building can be described as part hostel, part hotel. While slightly dated, the hotel itself is in fine condition, and everything in our room was working properly. The main downside of the stay was the shared bathrooms for each floor. Though a little inconvenient, we never had to wait too long, and never ran into troubles. Thankfully our room did have a private sink, which was great for morning/evening washing. Overall, the hotel was a fine place to stay.

But the breakfast is excellent, and location is amazing - right next to museumplein, a momentary walk into the canals district, with many restaurants and shops nearby and a tram stop right across the street. I will stay here again next time!

Breakfast is served and not a uniform buffet. The breakfast/lounge room has free coffee, tea and biscuits all afternoon.
S	Sappho Chen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a tiny family owned and warm hotel. Although stair is steep, it doesn't bother me. The manager is very helpful to take luggages and give advice. Simple room with privacy, breakfast included, cannot think there is other good choice with tight budget. Location is close to attractions and is easy to take tram to reach Amsterdam central station. Highly recommend!

And everything seemed relatively clean. Now about the location.. lots of things to see and do in close proximity, access to trams and buses to get to city center and anywhere else you would like BUT! The fact that the trams run early in the morning and stop right outside the hotel is very obnoxious and continually wake you up with horns and bells. And the massive bell tower that rings right next door is annoying but not the hotels fault. And the stairs.... the stairs into the hotel and up to the rooms are intense. Think twice about staying here if you have bad knees or like to get wasted at night.

The bus stop right across the street was very convenient. The bathrooms are shared but it was cleaned everyday. A lot of the reviews we read beforehand complained about the stairs but they're not that bad, and we are a bunch of fat Americans. We'd stay here again.

I took a basic single room that had everything I needed. Old fashioned design and old structure but very clean and pleases the eye. Take into account the you need to climb many steps and no elevator. Highly recommend!
