★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall it was a great stay at the Lancaster hotel. You can reach everything by foot and have some great dining options around the hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location and a good price. The reason of the three starts it’s because the size of the room - very small. The window of the room is facing the side of the street it was very noisy.
Be ready to check yourself in on a computer in the lobby.
Also, parking is extra.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed with the staff (there is no staff, there is only a machine), the room in the basement with no light, and the hotel in general.
At no time was there any humane treatment, no one addressed us in a pleasant and polite way. Our stay was really unpleasant. I would not recommend it for anything in the world.
Finally, the location is really bad, it is very far from the center.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, quiet and very clean rooms, perhaps a bit small. Very comfortable double bed. Friendly staff. Located very close to Artis Micropia (museum of microbes). Not very far from the city centre. You can also hire a bike in the hotel ( it's €16 for 24 hours). In general, I had a wonderful experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay and DOG FRIENDLY! Absolutely spotless room, massive shower and very comfy bed ! (Pillows too big actually?) - next to zoo where You can park car and hotel give you discount. At night you can hear animals from zoo - amazing experience (and our dog get confused?). Very friendly staff and great location. Definitely if I will be back in Amsterdam I would choose same place to stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, nice staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom small same for room but this is Amsterdam! The location is awesome and the Hotel is clean!
It is not situated in the very center, but still really nice to go to as you can have nice walks going to centrum and discover the streets and local shops with local people so you avoid the very touristic shops... We choose to not rent bikes and not rent cars and walked and this was a very nice!
